The tension in the room making my smile fall quickly.

Then everyone spoke at the same time, talking about the logistics of it all, voting if it needs to be unanimous. Perhaps majority.

I sigh and lean against the doorway next to Daryl as I bark to get everyone to stop talking "Hey! Let Rick talk people."

They fall silent and Rick offers a nod as he pushes off his place next to his wife "Well, let's-- let's just see where everybody stands, then we can talk through the options."

As everyone stays silent and stare at one's other Shane laughs slightly and rubs at his split lip as he starts "Well, where I sit, there's only one way to move forward."

I glance at people Shane's faces as silence took over before Dale narrows his eyes as he throw a his arms in the air as he huffs "Killing him, right? I mean, why even bother to even take a vote? It's clear which way the wind's blowing."

Rick raises a hand and tries to sooth the older man "Well, if people believe we should spare him, I wanna know."

Dale eyes everyone and crosses his arms "Well, I can tell you it's a small group-- Maybe just me and Glenn."

I eye glen who shamefully glances at the ground before a sound of disgust gets ripped from the old mans mouth. I roll my eyes at his drama as Glenn tries to pitifully defend himself " Look, I-- I think you're pretty much right about everything, - all the time, but this-"

Dale rudely interrupts the stammering kid "They've got you scared."

I sigh and narrow my eyes at Dale, who although his ideology is ideal for anyone, it's not realistic. I push off the wall next to my boys and say smoothly "Look, he's not one of us."

Shane nods and points at me, a large frown on his face as he does so, "And we've-- we've lost too many people already."

Dale gaps at me, dead faced and looking quite pleading "Before we brought you in-"

I roll my eyes and state clearly "I wasn't brought in, I brought Rick in. I wanted to leave. I was kinda dragged along."

Dale shakes his head and continues to fucking talk "How can you have suck a twisted mentality that you can agree with this? Couldn't we continue keeping him prisoner?"

Daryl speaks up next to me suddenly "Just another mouth to feed. It may be a lean winter."

I glance over at him and nod, Alec doing the same on the other side of the hunter.

I stare at Dale who looks around everyone to take his side "We could ration better!" Glenn at this point raises a finger and adds softly "Well, he could be an asset."

Dale nods at him encouragly and continues the thought "Give him a chance to prove himself."

Maggie tilts her head and nods absently, her country twang near absent "Put him to work?"

I cross my arms and lean on the wall as Shane spits angrily, close to exploding "We're not letting him walk around."

Dale glares as he leans on his arms as he leans on the chair Carol was watching this from "We could put an escort on him."

Rick nods slightly and raises a hand to Shane who opened his mouth and asks calmly "Who wants to volunteer for that duty?"

It's silent and it's obvious that Dale was expecting someone else to speak up, I huff and roll my eyes. Of course he would. Dale clears his throat and says smoothly "I will."
