It was dark, so probably around five when we arrived, Glenn cutting the outermost fence before ushering everyone in.

I climb in last and glance around, saying stiffly "If we can shut that gate, prevent more from filling the yard, we can pick off these walkers."

Rick nods and adds softly "We'll take the field by tonight."

Glenn shifts and asks he avoids my eye "So how do we shut the gate?"

I shrug and grunt "I'll do it. You guys cover me."

Maggie protests in a second "No. It's a suicide run."

I roll my eyes and snap "I'm the fastest. And I don't die from a bite, only the injury accompanying it. Grab the attention of them, get off my dick and cut the damn fence."

Maggie looks quite taken aback, glancing around. Carol opens her mouth but Rick holds a hand up and nods, Glenn cutting the second fence.

I start but Alec grabs my wrist, I turn around and raise a brow, he sighs and runs a hand through his long hair "Stay safe."

I nod, everyone moves to their posts, up in the towers and ready to slam their hands to draw attention to them.

Glenn lets me through and I start walking past the walkers, glancing at them, gunshots ringing out around me, I pull a knife and start stabbing them silently, going through them in a deadly path.

A gunshot hits right of my foot and I glance up at Carol who keeps a steady pace.

I clench my jaw and jog the few yards and finally lock the main gate.

I spin and shove my knife in place, Ricks voice booming around the clearing "LIGHT IT UP!"

I pull a gun and fire shoot with my back firmly pressed to the gate, the walkers dropping dead before they could even figure where the noise is coming from.

I let out a breath as the fire dims, a walker reaching towards Beth, Carl, and Lori.

I walk to it and pull my knife, gun in place, almost empty, a dozen bullets wasted. Wasted when I can go do it by myself.

I crouch next to the thing reaching towards the people that treat me like a wild animal, weary of what I can do to them.

I look at my knife before at the group, then to crawling thing on our dead lawn, as I whisper to the walker "I'm going to stop you, I'm going to stop you all. Even if I have to become as evil as you, like him. I will find the missing piece of the cure and we will kill you all, I'll do it, even if I have to die."

I slide the knife in the ear as I whisper close to him "But right now, I won't let you hurt that group, no matter what they do."

The moon was high when the bodies were piled in the lawn, and a fire was set, that black and white bunny's mother roasting on the fire, the smell growing stronger as I continue to lap up the pooling blood off my arm, a cut fresh, one right under the last, and smearing it lightly on eye and ground level on the fence.

By the time I was where I started my head was swimming from the three other cuts I made, having to finish my loop. I push myself off the ground before staggering over to the fire, a warm can of vegetables ready. I push my sleeve over my arm and lean heavily on Alec's shoulder.

He looks down and asks worried "Wha is it, Lassie?"

I groan and giggle softly "New blood trick, allllll round..."
