Rick fidgets behind me and I stand, brushing the tears from my face as I nod. I grab my weapons all but my spine knife that's somewhere in the tombs and strap them on as Rick rushes us out of there, allowing my father to turn is what he gets for ruining my life and others for all he has done.
We burst out, the light blinding me momentarily before we spot everyone but who we are trying to find, the rest of Ricks family, T, and Carol.
Daryl barks roughly, his voice raw "Hershel! You didn't find them?"
Hershel shakes his head, nodding to me, I ignore it as I speak hoarsely "We thought maybe they came back out here."
Glenn shakes his head, asking worriedly "What about T? Carol? Maggie?"
I glance at Beth who shakes her head, I sigh, muttering sadly "They didn't make it"
Daryl scoffs at me "That doesn't mean the others didn't." I sigh at his tone, staring at the ground tiredly.
I nod, pulling baby while pressing the necklace with my rings and press my lips to them before yelling "We're going back!"
Rick nods and waves me over, I ignore the exasperated look from Hershel that he is giving me for some fucking reason. Rick starts giving orders roughly "Daryl and Glenn, you come with-"
Rick stares dumbfounded over my shoulder halting in place, I look over and find a sobbing Maggie, a stone-faced Carl and something wrapped in her arms.
                              Holy fucking shit.
Rick was the first to break out of the trance "Where-- where is she? Where is she?"
Maggie only looks down, her bloody hands making the truth evident. I gasp softly and whisper "No"
Rick echoes loudly, falling to the ground to his son's feet "No, no! No! No! No!"
Maggie sways and I rush up expecting to help her continue to stand but instead a baby is thrusted into my arms.
I grimace at the slimy thing, glancing up as Rick stands. An ax in his hands as he charges in.
I glance at Daryl who stares after the man. Beth comes up and I pass the newborn to her, following Rick only to be pulled back, Daryl yelling in my face "Where do you think you're going?"
I narrow my eyes at him and yank my arm out of his grasp, muttering "I'm going to bury Alec, help me or not, I don't care."
He straightens and turns his back to me, I clench my teeth and storm into the building, the sounds of yells echoing down from Rick.
I follow the thickened blood droplets from Alec back to the room. This is how this room will be stained.
A twitching walker that was my father. A puddle of blood next to a blond haired man. His beard matted with the blood that dribbled out of his mouth when shot in the stomach.
Haematemesis is the cause of the blood. When he got shot it ruptured his internal walls and caused internal bleeding causing him to slowly-
I close my eyes, cutting the thought off. Fuck. I clear my throat and open my eyes, stepping in and look at the beam, ropes anchored to the opposite wall.
Drops of blood splattering where I fought my father. Splattering of matter on the wall my father was standing in front of when I shot him in the chest. The splatter going up with a bullet in the concrete.
I glance around the room shaking the coldness that soaks into my bones, the walker version of dad standing and sniffing the air hungrily, starting at Alec.
