As we near the soundless night weighs on me. Nothing is alive apart from us. I keep an eye out as my fingers twitch to my chest, itching to grab a knife.

When a faint sound sounds I halt and push my hair away from my ear to hear better.

"Lucy?"

I hold a hand up but nothing else was heard. I narrow my eyes at the distance before shrugging "I thought I heard something but I can't hear it anymore."

Daryl stares at me before staring off in the distance where I was before shaking his head as well, "Nothing there, let's get going."

Not even five minutes later we slam through the front door where everyone jumps and starts speaking all at once. Daryl huffed and Alec barks loud enough for it to reverberate through my bones "SHUT TH' HELL UP!"

I smile slightly as a light blush covers Daryl's ears before he asks "Rick and Shane ain't back?"

T shook his head as he checks a gun "No."

Carol and Lori mutter to each other about a gunshot and finding Randell. I shook my head and say firmly "We found him."

Lori turns to us and asks "Is he back in the shed?"

I shake my head as Glenn speaks next "He's a walker."

Carol clutches at her necklace as she gasps "Did you find the walker that bit him?"

I stare at Alec as I spill the news "No, the weird thing is he wasn't bitten. His neck was broke." He sucks in a breath and runs a hand through his hair, pulling at the ends slightly.

T shook his head, not getting what the hell I was trying to say "So he fought back."

Daryl huffs and backs me up, his voice stern "The thing is, Shane and Randall's tracks were right on top of each other.
And Shane ain't no tracker, so he didn't come up behind him. They were together."

Lori places a hand on her stomach and I roll my eyes, she's not even showing, and pleads to us "Would you please get back out there, find Rick and Shane and find out what on earth is going on?"

I grind my teeth opening my mouth but Alec steps around her and to the side of me, placing a hand on my arm saying "Ye got it."

Her eyes well and start thanks us before they see us out, stopping as we see a humongous herd of walkers. A gasp lost on my lips and the others stop around us.

"Lucy? You ever see this many?"

I blink and look at Daryl "No, not even in the city."

Hershel nods and yells to people orders "Patricia, kill the lights. I'll get the guns."

I pull my gun out and check it, low. I toss it to T and call as he runs into the house "Give me another pistol, Ladies! Grab everyone's stuff and shove it in bags."

I start to move around when Carol clings to my shirt "Maybe they're just passing, as the herd on the highway. Should we just go inside?"

I glance at Alec and shake my head scoffing "Not unless there's a tunnel downstairs I don't know about. Or a steel building like in the city."

Suddenly Lori pops out and starts to panicking irrationally, I roll my eyes and grip her arms before snapping "Calm it damn it!"

She looks up and says "He-he was upstairs. I can't find him anymore."

My blood freezes and glances out at the herd, T coming out with my gun and an extra one. I check the extra and place it on safety before shoving it in the back of my jeans.
