chapter six; real life

Pain.

That's all I feel in that moment.

I struggle to lift my head up, let alone open up my eyes. Everything feels like it weighs about a million tons.

Ringing.

Crashing.

The weight of a car seeming to hit me at full force.

Before I can manage to open my eyes I'm out the door, swaying on my feet as I hold my head, desperate to have some relief from the pain.

I stumble a little bit, searching for the nearest object around me.

My eyes open as I come in contact with something rough, a tree.

But that's not what I see.

The car.

The blood.

The glass.

Ava.

"No!"

It's like one of those scenes that you see in the movies, when a family gets hit by a semi-truck or something.

But that's not what happened.

We had just started driving when I saw it. When I saw a car with no headlights on, rushing down the road at speeds that shouldn't even be possible.

I try to take a step forward, but my body is too weak to move. Everything shakes as I attempt to, and my head only begins to get even more. It feels like it's going to explode.

"Olivia!"

I slowly look around, unsure of who was saying my name. The only people around me were currently unconscious and it looks like they're barely breathing.

"Olivia!"

I take another step, but my knees buckle up and I hit the ground. The pain only gets worse as I try to stand back up, so I just stay on the ground, tears falling from my eyes.

"Olivia!"

"Olivia wake up!"

I shoot up and hit my head on something, making me groan and lay back down.

"Are you alright?"

I'm almost scared to open my eyes. I don't want to see that again.

But instead of seeing the accident, I see Blake with a worried look.

"What happened?"

"You were screaming."

I stop. "I was?"

He nods. "What's going on?"

"What's today's date?"

"The twentieth of April. Why?"

I sigh.

"What's going on?"

"This is the anniversary of their death."

He sucks in a deep breath. "Were you dreaming about that night?"

"I was."

"Oh Liv. Come here."

He pulls me out of the bunk before wrapping his arms around me, rubbing small circles on my lower back. Nothing I do seems to keep the tears from falling, and I hate it when he sees me like this.

"Everything's going to be okay."

I nod slightly, not entirely believing him.

"Look you get to consume yourself in work. You get to have a distraction, so hopefully it won't be too bad today."

"Says the one who literally pours their heart out when they sing."

"You could do that too."

"Have you heard me? I sound like a dying elephant."

"That's not what I meant."

"Then what did you mean?"

"Photography is an art. Art uses emotions. Fuel whatever pictures you take tonight with your emotions."

"I'm not making pictures from your headliner tour sad. Not happening."

"People don't have to know."

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

"It's all in the lighting."

"Why are you so good at everything?"

"I am not."

"Says the guy who plays multiple instruments and can get a damn good picture whenever he wants."

His cheeks turn red.

"Now don't you ever say something like that again. I will find a way to kill you without actually killing you."

"What?"

"Nothing."

"Nothing?"

"It's nothing."

"Now let's get you ice for your head. It looks like it hurts."

I reach up and lightly press on my temple, wincing at the pain.

"Yea that might be a good idea."

GO AHEAD AND SAY THAT IM CRAZY

Woooop crazy came out last nighttttttt

I'm happyyyyyyy

A/N my dumb self forgot to put that I would be switching back and forth between Leanna and Olivia's point of view when the boys are on tour, so if you're confused, that would be why.
