Chapter fifteen
Sawyer's POV.

The sound of my phone buzzing a few times wakes me up. Nathan's arm is draped around me and I can't help but admire the sight of this boy next to me, fast asleep.

I carefully untangle myself from his grip before checking my phone. There were a few texts from Hannah. The main one read:

Hey Lea,
your dad wants to see you.
and yeah, he has something
to tell you. be here soon?
Hannah.

I never understood her need to sign her name when I'm her best friend and I obviously had caller ID.

He wants to see me? Fuck, I'm
screwed aren't i?
anyways, I'll be there
in twenty minutes.
Lea. (even though you know it's me.. get it?)

I rushed to the bathroom and had my shower - followed by the usual brushing of the teeth and cleansing the face and.. you know.

I threw on a pair of shorts, white t'shirt and my usual converse before realising my hair looked like an absolute nightmare. I notice one of Nathan's beanies and decide to put it on. I wasn't a beanie person, mainly because I was too much of a chicken to try them out, but I put it on anyway.

I look back at the bed to see that he was still fast asleep. I didn't want to wake him, but I didn't want to leave without saying anything either.

'Text me when you're awake' I wrote on a piece of paper and set it on the bedside table.

You'd never think that a person looked this good, sleeping.

I remembered that I had to go and kissed his forehead as I made my way out.

I unlocked the door since I had my keys and saw Hannah and my dad staring at me.

"Hi?" I greeted, setting my keys down. "Is this some sort of intervention?" I question, attempting to mask my confusion.

"Sawyer, haven't seen you in awhile. Where have you been? Staying at your friend's house, I assume" My dad said. His use of my first name and his emphasis on the word "friend" told me that he wasn't over the moon about my whereabouts.

"Well, good morning to you too, and I'm definitely not staying in Nathan's house." I rolled my eyes.

"Anyways, I wanted to tell you that you, Hannah and I are going on a little vacation. It was on short notice but I decided it'd be good for us. Kinda getting sick of Gloucester, no?" He said.

"Where to?" I asked, unsure of what he was getting at.

"Paris, France" Hannah interrupted - excitingly.

"Paris?! D-dad wh-"I couldn't even finish as he cut me off.

'No need to thank me, honey. I've got to head into London for some work and I thought it'd be fun for the two of you to take the train. I assumed it'd be much more fun than being with me in London or being.. here" he continued, "Summer's almost over and you should have some fun. Get packed alright? We're leaving in 3 hours." he said as he walked up to his room.
