—REWRITTEN—

"Where's Barry?" Dad asks wheeling in. "He's late," he then says in realization.

"Late is kind of his signature move," Cait says as I nod.

"Hey, you guys wanna see my signature move?" Cisco asks. Barry then runs in and stops right next to me, catching me off guard. I stumble a bit and then steady my self, grabbing his arm. When I did, his hand immediately went to my arm, helping me.

"Watch where you're running," I mumble, letting go of him.

"Sorry," Barry says to me and turns to everyone else. "Sorry guys. I got a little, held up. You had to be there."

"I'm gonna need a moment or two alone with Barry," Dad says.

"Ooh! You in trouble," Cisco says walking out with Caitlin.

I then start walking out too as Dad says, "Stay here Livvy."

"What-B-But, I didn't do anything," I defend. "I'm always on time and I-"

"You're not in trouble," Dad says.

"Oh, thank goodness," I sigh. Barry looks at me with a smirk. "I'm sorry, but he is scary when he's angry."

"Okay," Barry says with a sweet smile as takes a sip of his coffee.

"He is!" I say as I go sit on the table behind Barry. My boots hit the side of the chair he was sitting in and I move my foot away, making sure not to hit it again. His hand unconsciously goes to the edge of the chair as his fingers tap a beat of a song on the side of my leg.

"Okay. Stop talking about that," He says to me and turns his attention to Barry, "Now, may I remind you, Mr. Allen, we had an agreement. We would help with your heroics out there while you would help us research and develop your abilities in here, right?"

"Yeah," Barry responds. "No, I know. I guess I've just gotten a little caught up with being able to help people, you know, put bad guys away. It feels good."

"Imagine how good it will feel to cure diseases, stop against, reverse paralysis," Dad says. The room suddenly goes quiet as I watch Barry's eyes look down at Dad's legs. He then pulls them back up, looking at Dad.

"So, how can I help you do that?" Barry asks. "You need more MRIs, more blood, or-"

"I need more speed," Dad cuts off. "Speed is the key to progress. You need to kick it up a notch."

Barry's phone then rings and Barry says, "There was a homicide. I'm sorry. I've got to go." He gets up from his position and I frown, not being given enough time to decipher what song he was tapping the beat of.

"This is not just about you. Remember that, Barry," Dad says as Barry heads for the door.

"Yeah," Barry replies and leaves.
