I look at the bag of Big Belly Burger on my desk and sigh. I have to do this. I grab the bag and head to the pipeline. I close my eyes as I press the button to open it. When I open them, Thawne is standing in front of me. I walk forward as I come into his view.

He smiles at me and then his gaze goes to the bag in my hands. "Oh thank god!" He says. "I'm starving and I would hate to do this on an empty stomach."

I roll my eyes and teleport the bag of Big Belly Burger into his cell. He opens the bag and then pulls a burger out, carefully unwrapping it. "So, What do you want, sweetie?" He asks me, taking a bite out of his burger.

"Don't," I say, immediately. "You have lost that right."

"Ok," He says, unfazed. "What do you want... Miss.Wells?"

"I want a lot of things," I say. "But right now, I need you to answer one thing... Why? Why go through all this trouble of raising an incredibly difficult child?"

"Well, I believed you could be helpful with my plan. I could raise you to be on my side. I never realized doing that would cause a relationship between you and him," Thawne says referring to Barry. "That's not supposed to happen. He wasn't supposed to fall for you, but when the newspaper didn't change, I realized it truly didn't matter what I did with you."

"Why? How do you know that just because the newspaper didn't change, nothing else did either?" I ask.

"Because I realized that you're dead," Thawne says, confusing me. "You don't make it to the future. You're dead no matter what I do."

"But- How does that- I can't die," I say in disbelief. "It's physically impossible. I- How do I— I die?"

"Yeah. You die," He responds.

"Wha- How?"

He chuckles. "Now, Now. Don't get greedy. But hey, if it makes you feel any better, you won't have to wait too long to find out."

I scoff. "So you made me a pawn in your game?"

"Yes," He answers. "Yes I did. Not that it worked. I didn't know anything about you. So I couldn't be a step ahead. I had to work with time and I did. After the League I really thought you would help me."

"I would never help you," I say, stepping closer to the cell, clenching my fists.

His gaze goes down to my hand. "Don't do that. You're nails are gonna make your hands bleed and then your wound will reopen," He says, absentmindedly.

I look down at my hands as I open my fists, to indeed see a recent knife wound starting to reopen. I look up at him and furrow my brows. "What?" He asks.

"I- Nothing?" I say, thrown off mentally. What the hell was that?

"I did love you, you know," He says, noticing my confusion. "Stupid. I was stupid for doing it, but I did think of you as my daughter."

I scoff. "Stop. Stop it. Stop pretending like you care even now."

"I do care."

"No. You don't," I say sternly. "You don't. If you did, I wouldn't be here. You wouldn't be in there. Cisco would be making movie references. Cait would be happy. My parents wouldn't be dead. Barry's mother wouldn't be dead."

"I did what I had to do to beat him," He says and chuckle.

"Is that all this is to you? Some sort of twisted game?" Suddenly he goes very still. "Do you have any idea what it's like to lose your family? To have the one person you've trusted turn into the biggest threat you've ever faced? To have nothing left?"

Thawne starts coughing, blood coming out of his nose. "Liv," He breathes out as if he's choking. I look at my hands to see them buzzing with flames.

"Liv? Liv stop!" I hear Barry say from the intercoms. I look back at Thawne and suddenly speckles of my pyrokinesis around his neck. I suddenly pull away and stumble backwards. He falls on the ground coughing, as he wipes the blood from his nose.

I stare at him wide eyed. What the hell? What is going on? How did that happen? Why couldn't I control it?

"Livvy," He says quietly, turning to me. I step away. I quickly close the pipeline and leave.

I walk into the Cortex to see Cisco, Caitlin, Ronnie and Barry standing there. I look at them not meeting them in the eyes.

"You okay?" Ronnie asks. I nod.

"What happened in there?" Cisco asks.

"Uh- nothing. I just- I just lost control."

"Lost control?" Cisco asks. "You used you're powers without realizing?"

"I guess," I say. "But don't worry, it won't happen again."

"We heard what you said to him," Ronnie says, walking up to me. "You are not alone."

I sigh, of course they heard. "Look around. You are not alone. We are all always gonna be here for you," Ronnie says as everyone else nods. "And don't forget. You have a team of incredible people in Starling willing to beat anyone's ass for you."

We chuckle as I recall everyone. "You aren't alone. We won't ever let you be," He says. Family. He's family. We're all family.

He hugs me as I wrap my arms around him. "Thank you," I say quietly.

He chuckles. "No problem... sis," He responds.

Suddenly I hear, "Well don't leave us out." Cisco and Caitlin wrap themselves around me and Ronnie.

I slowly take move my head to look up from Ronnie's arms to see Barry watching the four of us with a smile. I wink at him and move my hand to motion for him to come join the hug. He shakes his head, a sad smile on his face. I slowly watch him step away and walk out of the Cortex.

The smile from my lips drop. Why do I feel like I'm losing a part of my family... forever?

 forever?
