"A shape-shifter?" I ask Barry.
"Yeah, I literally saw a grown man, like, m...morph into a teenage girl," Barry explains.
"That's fascinating," Dad says, "Today's physicists have always regarded programmable matter as nothing more than a theory, but I guess your shape-shifter proves it can be done."
"Wait, so he, or she, or I... whatever. This person can actually transform into anyone they touch?" Barry asks.
"Yeah, it looks like," I say. "That means you too, Barry."
"She's right," Caitlin says. "If you are touched while you're the Flash, and he transforms into you, we run the risk of him exposing that Barry Allen is the man behind the mask."
"Because at this point, we don't know is the shape-shifter is capable of absorbing more than just your physical characteristics."
"Like he might be able to cope my speed?" Barry asks.
"That would be bad," Me and Dad say in unison. Barry moves his gaze from Dad to me, with an eyebrow raised. I dismiss it.
"Ok. Got it, hands off the meta-human," Barry says.
"Hands off the meta-human," Dad repeats.
"So how do we find someone who can transform into anyone?" Barry asks.
"We, I guess like any problem, you just go back to the beginning," Dad says. "In this case, that would mean finding the first person the shape-shifter morphed into when they discovered their powers."
"Yeah, can you pull up the CCPD records of cases where the perpetrator plead innocent, even thought they were caught on camera committing the crime?" Barry asks.
"You're good, Barry Allen," Dad says. "You're very good." Barry walks over next to me, to look at the screen.
"Look at this. Multiple crimes of this manner all dating back to a month after the particle accelerator explosion," Dad reads.
"And the first one was?" Barry asks.
"Jacob Fisher. A teller at the Federal Credit Union," I answer. "Claims he was innocent, and was framed by his best friend- uh- Hannibal Bates."
"I'll pass this along to the CCPD, see if they can track him down," Barry says.
"Good."
"Thank you, Dr.Wells," Barry says, with a look.
"Always here to help, Barry," Dad says. Barry gives me and Cait one last look before walking out.
