"So Barry's mom's murdered is back in town?" I asks walking in, to the Cortex.

Barry immediately gets up and walks over to me. "Are you okay?" He asks his hands running up and down my arms, in a comforting manner.

"Yeah," I whisper. "I'm sorry I ruined your day."

"What!?" He asks. "You didn't do anything."

I give him a small smile and we turn back to the group. "Barry's guy is back?" I ask.

Joe nods. "The witness described seeing a yellow blur just like the one that killed Barry's mother," He explains.

"Then we need to get cracking and stop this speed psycho," Cisco says. "That- I wasn't trying to give him a name."

"The crime scene at Mercury Labs was on a floor with highly secured vaults, and the witness said he was looking for something," Barry explains, his breathing increasing. I hesitantly grab a hold of his hand, intertwining it with mine, my thumb running over his hand in circles. I feel him sigh deeply and try to level his breathing while everyone spoke.

"Whatever it was, he wanted it badly enough to kill for it," Dad says, looking at mine and Barry's hands in an emotion I couldn't describe. He looks back up at Joe.

"Doctor what do you know about this Mercury Labs?" Joe asks.

"Mercury Labs was one of S.T.A.R. Labs' major competitors until our little setback," Dad states.

"And then it catapulted to the forefront led by Dr. Christina McGee, brilliant but egocentric physicist," I add as Dad pulls up her file.

"Says here Dr.McGee has secured half a billion dollars in private funding to develop, and I quote, "prototypes for the technology of the future,"" Cisco read.

"Well, I'll be," Dad says. "Tina's messing with tachyons, superluminal particles."

"Of course," Joe states. "So, what could someone do with those--"

"Tachyons," I answer.

"Thank you," Joe says as I nod at him.

"Well, I don't know," Dad says. "Become invincible? If you could devise a matrix stable enough to harness their power, you could travel faster than light."

"He's gonna try to get them again," Barry says. "So we need to get what Mercury has and use it as a lure."

"Exactly right," Dad says. "Cisco, Caitlin, let's start engineering a trap."

"You got it."

"Of course."

They then all leave as Barry steps away from me, our hands leaving each other. I walk up to him, who is seated now on a chair. "Tell me you won't let your emotions drive you," I say to him. "I know we have to catch him for what he did to your mother- I will personally help you beat the crap out of him- but you can't let your emotions cloud your judgement, right now."
