—REWRITTEN—

I slowly wake up, and turn to face the inside of the bed. Next to me, I see Barry, watching me with a smile. At first I panic, but then I remember the events of last night. I must've fallen asleep. "Morning," He says, his voice throaty.

"Morning," I whisper, back to him. After a bit of silence I look at him again. "What?" I ask.

"What?" He retorts and I watch as lightning flickers in his eyes.

"Just- S-Stop doing that," I tell him, referring to him staring- with that look in his eye. I have to tell him about my feelings... Soon.

His smile widens as he moves a little closer to me, the lightning moving quicker. "Stop what?" He asks, his voice deep, making my heart beat a little faster. Feeling my hands warm and embers flicker off of them, I look back at him.

His face is almost touching mine, our noses not even inches apart. I stare into his bright green eyes and open my mouth to reply, but Barry's phone rings. He groans as he turns to grab it, as my powers slowly die down. "Hello?" He says. "Oh. Hey Joe."

"Barry, where are you? Where have you been all night? You're late," I hear Joe say.

Barry's eyes widen as he checks the time. He sighs running a hand down his face. "Sorry Joe. I'll be right-"

"Where were you all night?"

"I- I was just.." I smile as Barry struggles to give an answer.

I slowly rise on my elbows as I move closer to Barry. "He was with me," I say, into the phone, my eyes locked with Barry's. Lightning flickers through his eyes again and I lay back down next to him, a smirk on my lips.

"Oh-" I hear Joe say.

"Not like that, Joe," Barry immediately says and looks at me. I bury my head in the pillow, a smile still on my lips. "Yeah. Yeah, I'll be there," Barry finishes, before ending the call.

I peak out of my pillow to see Barry looking at me. I quietly chuckle as Barry says, "Funny huh?" He then moves his hand to my waist and starts tickling me. Small bolts of lightning hit me as well, but they don't harm me.

I start laughing hysterically, and slowly, between laughs, I let out, "Barry... Barry stop. Barry please."

He finally moves his hands away as I calm down. "I'm gonna be interrogated when I see Joe," He says, with a smile.

I look over to him and say, "You don't look too worried about it."

He rests his head in his hand as he props up on his elbow and looks down at me. "I'm not. I'll be fine... hopefully." He checks the time again and sighs. "I have to go. I'm really late."
