"I'm about to go pick up Ari, Amari and Allen are coming with us to look at wedding dresses." I smiled excitedly giving him a kiss. It's been a week since we've been cool on shit again and I was loving it. Cassity finally decided to come out the house with me today which made me feel like shit was getting better.
"Ight, y'all have fun and pick something nice." He smiled rubbing my arm. "Baby picking the perfect dress takes time but thank you." He pushed me making me laugh.
I grabbed my keys and phone leaving the bedroom. Today was bright and sunny out and the perfect time to look for beautiful things. I didn't want a huge wedding, just enough for our families to remember and have a good time. "I can't believe you're actually getting married." Cassity smiled seeming as excited as me. "I know right." I backed out the drive way speeding down the road.
"Allen and Amari is going to meet us at the boutique after I pick up Ari. I need all the help I can get on finding this dress, hopefully Ari don't go telling Rodger if I do find the one." She laughed but I was dead serious, sis couldn't hold water. "If you give her some candy or some money she'll be quiet about anything." I nodded my head not thinking of that.
"See, this why you my favorite little cousin." She smiled popping her imaginary collar.
We pulled up to my mama's house and I honked the horn, I was on a time crunch and she knew that so she sent Ari right on out with her bag. She waved bye making me do the same. "She looks so beautiful with her puff balls." "Girl that's all mama use to put in my head with the occasional plats." We both laughed as Ari got in the car.
"Hey mommy." "Hey baby, put your seatbelt on." I waited a while then backed out the driveway.

"Yasss bitch, I like that one. Reminds me of a princess." Amari smiled clapping at my dress. "Ehh, I'm really not into this type of dress. It's too princessy that's the point." I puffed the dress out in disgust slapping my hands against my side. "Chileee, I'm glad you don't like it cause I agree. Baby this ain't prom." Amari shoved Allen's arm making him laugh.
I walked back in the dressing room for my next dress do be handed to me. Cassity was picking out my next one. I gave them three dresses a peice to pick out for me, that was twelve dressed total and I knew I was bound to find it. My mom was supposed to joining us a little later so I was just hoping I didn't find the dress until she got here. My dad and Rodger wasn't going to see the dress until the day of- of course.
I slipped on the mermaid dress and it hugged me very well even with the baby bump. I turned around seeing old fashion ruffles instantly making this dress a no but I guess I'll still show it.
"Cassity's second dress for me." I walked out smiling as real as possible but then again I don't know what the fuck Cassity was thinking with these damn ruffles on the back. "Y'all can't tell me this dress ain't fye. Then the nice little ruffles on the butt and down the back is cute."
Everyone including Ari was looking at her like she just snorted a line.
"Mommy that's ugly!" After that everyone started expressing how they felt going back and forth with each other. I shook my head looking at these girls bicker and yell at each other. The poor white people that worked here looked scared out their minds but it was no need. We did this all the time.
"Hey! What's all this fuss?" My mama walked in making everyone shut up. "Thank God." I got down off the mini stage hugging her neck. "They about to kill me." I mumbled making her laugh. "Well mama is here to save you my child, what's this God ugly dress you have on?" She took my hand stepping back to judge it with her looks. "Grandma!" Cassity yelled clearly feeling played making us laugh. "Now baby you could've done better than this. This can't be all you got, you young folk supposed to have all the style right?"
"Well I thought it was cute, my bad." She sat down in defeat. "Okay mama I got everybody picking out three dresses a peice for me to try on. You can pick your three."
"Okay well I'm get to it then." She walked off with Ari hot on her trail."Okay now I picked this one out especially for you, try it on and watch your dreams come true." Allen handed me the dress with a cocky grin. I was sure that anything Allen picked out was the one because this man knew his clothing.
I got out of Cassity's dress putting on Allen's which made me smile but it wasn't a wow and tears flowing. It was a wedding dress but not the wedding dress.
I stepped out getting claps and looks of awe especially from Allen. "Now that's cute." Cassity said looking the dress up and down.
"Sweet heart neckline, beaded designing down the back with the classic button down. Off the shoulder lace wear giving it an edge. It's perfect huntyyy." I turned around looking in the mirror kind of seeing it but a bitch didn't need kind of.
"Allen it's a wedding dress but not the dress for me." "Aha!" Amari jumped up laughing in his face making me shake my head. But I didn't need a "cute" dress I wanted something breath taking.
"We've been gone for only a few minutes and you guys are up to it again." My mom came back with one dress.
"Where's your other two?" I asked confused, she was gone long enough to grab more, I needed this shit perfect.
"Child calm down, mama got this. I don't need no three dresses to know what's right for you. Ari really picked this one out and after a little arguing we've decided on it." Ari was blushing hard so I only assumed it was something special and I needed it to be.
"Mommy you're gonna love it." She walked the dress over to me with it still in my mother's hand. I picked up the dress instantly feeling good about myself. I didn't know if it was because it was coming from my child or was it truly the one.
I went into the dressing room slipped out of Allen's dress.
I put on the next dress slowly sliding it up around my curves, it felt so right. I closed my eyes shut until I zipped it up successfully. I counted down from three before opening my eyes almost knocking the wind out of me.
"Ooo my God." I gasped covering my mouth. The dress was perfect, it was a nice, fitted dress. The color wasn't just white but almost like a coffee stained dress. Lace covered my sweet heart neck line and jewels followed leading into the heart shape.
My belly was popping and my ass looked good enough to eat in the dress. It had a nice, long pretty bow sitting on my lower back. Tears ran down my cheek just looking at it, you only seen this shit on Tv.
I pushed open the dressing room door slowly walking out for everyone to see me. They all had blank looks on their face but it quickly softened with tears from everyone in the room but Ari of course.
"This is the one girl!" Allen hopped up drying his tears making me laugh and dry mine. "It's so beautiful." Amari cried covering her mouth. "My beautiful queen." My mom came up hugging my neck making me cry even more. Cassity was emotional just because everyone else was but that was okay, at least I knew she loved it.
"I told you, you'd like it mommy." Ari hugged my legs making me cry even harder. God knew what he was doing giving such a great gift to me.
So she found the dress you guys😍☺️❤️, the emotions in the room are flowing and wedding bells are finally starting.
