However, as he turned around, he saw a face bathed in tears and eyes filled with sadness. "I know... I know why you're driving me away... I know what's going to happen. I found the letters and I read them all." She tried to approach, but he backed away. If he gave in now, she would die. "I love you... Please, there must be another way."
But he knew there was no other way. He would erase her memories and she would never remember anything that they lived. It would be better that way. That was the only way. One last time, he kissed her, erasing all the memories from the day he captured her. The process made her lose counciousness, and he carried her in the arms on the silent and dark forest, leaving her again in the village from which she had fled on that fateful day. Upon returning to his castle, he would be killed. It would be the end.
When she awoke again, the girl was surrounded by the villagers, who asked her several questions about her disappearance. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't remember anything. They treated this as some kind of amnesia or memory loss after a traumatic event. She asked about her husband, remembering only their last quarrel, and was told that he had married another woman and gone to live somewhere else.
The girl returned to her old home and her old life, feeling a huge emptiness in her chest. Every night, as she sat on the bed and watched the moon in the sky, she felt a horrible sadness sweep her heart. And she always dreamed of a beautiful castle, whose garden was filled with roses as white as the full moon in the night sky. She would never remember how true those dreams were... How much the vampire's love for her was real... They danced The Moonlight Waltz, but they would never remember the beauty of their footsteps and the noble song they played that day... The song of their destined hearts.
