Haruka was at the Kotobuki's restaurant again. She had arranged to meet Ai and Natsuki there to discuss the search for the mysterious boy. She had been waiting for a while, the boys were late. "Are you waiting for someone, Haru-chan?" Reiji asked approaching the table for the third time.
"Ah! Yes. But they are late." She replied with a sigh. Upon noticing that she was expecting two boys, he again lost the courage to declare himself. "Oh! Did you like the Ball, Reiji?" Her question took him by surprise. He nodded and smiled happily, as he always did. "Yes! It was amazing. The food, the music, the dance was... wonderful." His passionate gaze would tell his true feelings if the girl wasn't naive to do not notice.
Haruka didn't notice the passionate look, but Ai and Natsuki did. As they approached the table and saw them talking, they realized that Reiji fit her description. But still, they needed to be sure. So, they asked her for extra invitations and when the girl left, they gave to Reiji the invitation.
The day of the last Ball had arrived. Haruka was more than anxious, as much as her mother. If she didn't find the boy, she would be forced to marry anyone else so as not to lose the direction of the family business. As the hours passed, her hopes seemed to drop more and more, like a sand clock. With a frustrated sigh, 5 minutes to midnight, she went out to the back garden to get some air before the decision she would need to make.
