After that picnic that ended in a not very pleasant conversation, Haruka seemed to distance herself even more from Ren. It made him so depressed that he found himself thinking about her all the time. And because he was so upset, he ended up leaving his diary open on the table. When Haruka came in, even though she didn't want to, she ended up reading what he had written and it sat her heart pounding.

The young woman's eyes filled with tears and she felt enormous despair overtake her. Ren intended to declare himself to her at the Ball that his father would be doing in three days. Her heart seemed to weigh on her chest. She had fallen in love with him, but she refused to believe that he loved her too.  Everyone warned her that he just liked to flirt and play with the girls' hearts, but...

The pages of his personal diary said something else. And she felt like a fool... At that moment, Ren entered the room and almost caught her in the act. She pretended to sweep the dust off the carpet and he approached awkwardly. "Haruka... I would like to invite you for..." It was the first time he had called her that. It made his cheeks flush. "Could you accompany me to the Ball that my father is going to throw in three days?"

Haruka saw no way to refuse the invitation. She didn't know what to do and when her eyes watered again, she attributed it to the dust in the room. She became more and more nervous at the ticking of the clock. On the day of the ball, Ren presented her with a beautiful red dress, matching shoes and ordered the maids to dress her up with a beautiful hairstyle and light makeup.
