They arrived on the island with ease and don't saw any mermaids, which was really strange. The night was near and they didn't know the dangers that awaited them. They built an improvised tent with branches and leaves, but in the middle of the night the princess heard a noise that awoke her. She looked around and didn't find the First Immediate Ichinose.

She got up quickly and left the tent, she saw the figure of a person near the water and ran there as fast as she could. "Ichinose-san! Sir! Hey! Sir Ichinose?" She hurried up to him and only reached him when the water was already on her knees. She grabbed his arm and looked at his face, frightened. His gaze was vacant and he looked hypnotized. "The mermaids..." She thought to herself. They were surely enchanting him and she couldn't hear the singing because she is a woman.

"Ichinose-san!!" She screamed again and slapped him hard on the face. That didn't work, so she jumped into him and covered his ears with her bare hands. It looked like a monkey cub hanging from its mother. Her heart was pounding and the cold water made her shiver. "Ichinose-san! Wake up! Ichinose...!" And suddenly his body shook and his eyes blinked several times, returning to normal.

He asked what had happened and why she was hanging on him like that, but she couldn't explain. He couldn't hear her and she couldn't unclog his ears. She nodded her head to get out of the water, and when they reached shore he covered his own ears. The princess wrote on the sand what had happened, and they agreed to go in the night to the cave in the heart of the island. "You can lead this time. Thank you for saving my life."
