Hijirikawa-san was the first to hug me and say goodbye. Then Ittoki-kun, Cecil-san, Syo-kun, Jinguji-san, Shinomiya-san... And finally, Ichinose-san. Tokiya isn't known to open his emotions to the world easily, but when he hugged me I felt something strange in my chest.
He stroked my hair affectionately, and as he stepped away, he smiled lightly and restrained. Tears still ran down my face, but the security guard didn't want to know. My time had run out. As I walked away a little unsteadily, I stumbled as I did at the time we studied together.
"Wait!" Tokiya's voice made the security guard wait a little. My heart missed a beat. Had he remembered? My eyes widened at the sight of him bending down and... Picking up my wallet, which had fallen to the floor when I tripped.
I babbled an extremely awkward thank-you and followed the security guard, wondering how many times a heart was capable of breaking and still keep beating. I wasted my chance. But I was the fool. It was not anyone else's fault, only mine.
