"Are you the new maid and was asked to clean my room?" Ren got up from the chair where he was sitting and walked to the middle of the room, where he stopped and crossed his arms. "And you want me to believe that?" He gave a forced laugh, which seemed to confuse the girl.
"I'm sorry, sir. I didn't want to disturb you, but the housekeeper asked me to clean this room. I didn't know you were using it, I can come back later." With that, the girl turned to leave again, but ended up tripping over the buckets she brought herself and almost fell on her knees on the floor.
"You are very clumsy for a maid who wants to clean this house, my Lady. You will end up breaking everything." Despite the rude words, Ren grabbed her elbow so she wouldn't fall. "You can clean. I'm leaving."
Haruka thanked him for his help and apologized for being clumsy. She admitted to being nervous about her new job and cleaned the room very carefully as a way to redeem herself. When Ren returned, he was surprised by the cleaning she did... but he was even more surprised to find that she did not touch the diary on the table like the other maids had tried to do before.
