The princess led the way through the forest this time, and when they reached the cave the day was finally dawning and the mermaids had stopped singing. The two of them entered the cave at the foot of the mountain in the heart of the island and took two gas lamps out of their backpacks to light up the way.
The cave was dark and icy, and the legends said that the flower able to heal the curse was deep in the cave, protected by a huge ice monster. They passed narrow paths, bridges falling apart and secret passages through which they had to crawl to pass, but finally reached the bottom, where the flower should be resting... but it wasn't.
The princess opened her mouth to say something when a voice right behind them, a voice cold as ice, spoke with an evil laugh. "Oh! Are you two after this?" And as if the flower had no value, the man shook it to one side and the other. His robes were completely white, with light blue details, and his eyes were clear and cold, like ice.
"Captain Icy Heart... What do you want?" First Immediate Ichinose stepped in front of her to protect her from the other pirate's dangerous vision. The princess's heart pierced her chest as she saw the precious flower in his hands. "It isn't obvious? The girl by the flower. My men are out there, you are at a disadvantage. Either you accept the deal, or I'll take the girl by force." The smile on the other captain's lips was machiavellian, and behind him came his First Immediate, Ren Jinguji, with the same triumphant smile on his face.
