Chapter Nineteen

"So... Any progress?" Si Lyka pa talaga ang excited malaman.

"Seryoso daw siya." I said, looking at Chelssy. She looks dissatisfied. "Mission accomplished na ba? Can you guys leave me alone?"

"No, spill!"

I told them how I talked to Spencer, except I didn't tell them that I went to his unit. Although that was a normal thing for me before, I didn't want them to get the wrong idea.

"Okay na ba, Chels?" I asked her.

"I don't think he loves me," She stated, her voice cracking.

"Ha?" Kim immediately asked.

"Ewan ko, parang hindi siya nageeffort? Hindi man lang kami nagde-date. Hindi niya ako tinetext unless itext ko siya. He's so cold."

Tumunog ang phone ko. Tinignan ko iyon.

Gagong Feledrico ./.

Where are you?

I typed my reply:

Why?

"Aww, girl." Irene hugged Chelssy and looked at me.

Gagong Feledrico ./.

Nothing. I'm here at the grocery in case you want me to buy you something. I already bought strawberry ice cream. Anything else?

What the hell... Is he even serious?

"See, kanina ko pa siya tinetext pero wala man lang reply," Chelssy said in a defeated tone.

Tapos sakin nagtetext siya ng walang kwenta?!

I typed again just to see if he's gonna reply again.

"Why don't you talk to him yourself?" I felt tired seeing her like this. "Tell him what's bothering you and communicate like a healthy couple."

Gagong Feledrico ./.

Roger that.

Tangina, lahat na kami ginagago ng gagong 'to. Magreply kaya siya sa girlfriend niya! Now I'm on Chelssy's side. Hindi ko na iniinda yung selos ko, I can just see how Chelssy doesn't deserve this. Nobody does.

"I tried, he only said he hates drama."

I sighed. "Break up with him. You don't deserve that. It's obvious he's not serious."

Chelssy looked conflicted for a while, then tears started rushing down her cheeks. Great, now I just made her cry. Ilang araw pa lang naman, and ganito na siya ka-invested.

Nagulat ako nang tumunog ang phone ko, and I immediately saw Spencer calling me. Ni-reject ko agad iyon, but not before Kim saw who was calling.

She eyed me suspiciously.

Things were bad. Things were really going bad. Everyone is confused as hell, lalo na ako.

Hindi ko na nakikita si Theo, which is a good thing I think. I want him to be my friend but most importantly, I want him to be okay. I understand that he won't be kapag nakikita niya ako, pero sana... Sana meron akong nakakausap sa mga panahong para akong mababaliw.

When did everything became so complicated?

"Ally," Tinawag ako ni Kim pagkatapos ng class.

"Hm?" Patay-malisya ko siyang tinignan. I hate this feeling. I hate feeling that I did something wrong kahit wala naman.
