And so I did.
I tried to divert my attention sa paparating na screening for Illimité. After school, I make it a point to hit the gym and just eat healthy.
Came the dreaded day. I delibertely skipped my classes para lang dito. This is, after all, my dream.
They told me to just wear something casual and an everyday make-up look, and I actually spent two hours in front of the mirror to perfect a fresh and dewy make-up look.
I didn't want to risk it. Both of them are alpha-male, and I didn't want to further complicate their already-stained relationship.
"You already look gorgeous," Spencer said while we're talking through Facetime. Kanina ko pa kasi inaayos iyong kilay ko!
"Are you sure?" Ngumuso ako. I want everything to be perfect.
"Yes," He smiled. "Can't I really drive you there?"
Napalingon ako sa kan'ya. "Babe, we already talked about this. Isa pa, may pasok ka."
"I know. I'm just proud of you."
Napangiti ako. I can't believe it! I am now her girlfriend, and now, I'm trying to land a spot in the career I've wanted all my life! Despite everything that is happening, my heart is happy. I am happy.
But that happiness is short-lived.
I went to the building confident, pero parang unti-unti iyon napapawi. I was in the elevator with a group of women with heavy make-up and various hairstyle, and I can't help but regret why I didn't hire someone as my hair and make-up artist. A lot of them are really tall women. I have already considered myself tall, but there were women taller than me!
"Sana matanggap tayong lahat!" Ngumisi iyong babaeng maka-bun ang buhok.
"I know, right? Anim lang daw ang tatanggapin, di ba? Sakto na tayong anim doon." Sagot ng pinakamatangkad sa kanila.
I bit my lip and looked at myself in the mirror inside the elevator. Hindi ko sila kasing tatangkad but I kow I wouldn't give up without putting up a fight. I was wearing a fitted white tube and a black wide trousers. I complemented the look with large round earrings and put my hair up. Nothing seductive like them.
Whatever confidence I had left was flushed down the drain when I saw the people in the same floor as me. We're almost thirty girls and a dozen boys inside the office and anim lang ang makukuha!
I took a deep breath to calm myself and passed my application form sa staff na nasa desk at naghintay tawagin ang pangalan ko. Nang makahanap ako ng upuan, I immediately grabbed my phone to call Spencer, because honestly, I need him right now.
I opened the text message he left minutes earlier.
My Gagong Feledrico ❤
How are you?
Agad kong dinial ang number niya.
"Hey..." His voice was soothing.
"Spencer, I'm sorry, I know you're in class, pero kinakabahan kasi talaga ako." I bit my lip. "Ang daming tao rito, and they're only accepting six people."
