Quick Recap:

"So, now Roman's in love with you?" I nod, looking down at the floor. It was very interesting. "Awww, that's so cute~ I ship it!" I physically gagged. "Ew... me and Roman? Excuse me while I puke out my lunch."

Patton's POV:

My smile quickly faded as Virgil made a fake puking noise. My ship is sinking! It was quickly returned though when I saw Roman enter the cafeteria and immediately focused his attention at us. He began to walk toward us, I could feel my grin grow to unrealistic lengths. "What?" I filped my view to Virgil, he seemed confused to where I was looking and why it made me so cheerful. I shook my head which made him raise an eyebrow.

Virgil's POV:

Patton's sudden smirk weirded me out. What was he looking at? I didn't even have time to turn around when I felt two hands go on my shoulders. "Hey Virge! How are you?" Roman purred into my ear, I shivered slightly.
I halfheartedly pushed him away. I didn't really want to admit I was enjoying the positive attention for once, even if it was just because of those darn muffins.

Out the corner of my eye, I saw Patton stand up and walk off. Well, screw you too, Patton. I ignored the question. "D-don't you have a boyfriend?" Woah, why was I stammering? Did I... no. Never. He seemed surprised by my statement. He looked to his side, seemly deep in thought. He looked back up at me with the goofiest grin painted on his face, I fought the smile threatening to form on my own face.

"Not for long!" He jumped up and began jogging to popular kids table where his boyfriend was sitting.

Crap-a-doodles! This is bad!

I quickly went after him to attempt to stop him from making a big mistake. I was too late. I got there in time to hear their exchange.

"Oh, hey babe, what were you doing over there? Are those weirdos bothering you?"

"Kyle. We need to talk."

"Uh... sure? What's up?"

"I can't do this anymore..."

"What? Why?"

"Because... I love someone else..."

"Who?" (A/N I just realised that Kyle basically speaks in questions whoops)

"Doesn't matter. All that matters is he treats me way better than you do." Where was he getting this from? I've done nothing but insult him.

"W-well, whatever!" Kyle quickly regained his composure. "I didn't even like you anyway, you're boring. I've cheated on you with your best friend so there."

"Great! Glad we're both happy!" Everyone seemed surprised by Roman's calmness. He walked over to me, I wanted to disappear. He grabbed my hand and pulled me, or rather dragged, out into the corridor.  He twisted his body to face me. We finally made eye contact, he gave me a weak smile and I bit my lip to fight back my own.

His smile dipped down, transforming into a frown. "I'm sorry if my advances made you uncomfortable." His statement startled me to say the least, I felt my cheeks warm slightly. Wait, what? I realized he was waiting for my reply so I tried to articulate one quickly. "Uh... it's... fine. You're not really yourself right now. Anyway, I should be the one apologizing..."

He raised his eyebrow and let go of my hand. He started rubbed my arms. "For what? You haven't done anything..." I sighed, reminding myself of the reasoning for Roman's sweetness. "You don't love me... that's just those stupid muffins talking. And because of those consent stealing muffins, you broke up with your boyfriend..."

I started rambling some more apologies, diverting my eyes down the ground. "Virgil." I didn't take my eyes off the tiled floor. "Virgil, look at me." Roman grabbed my chin and lifted it so my eyes were locked with his again. "Virge... I don't know what you're talking about but the thing I do know is I do love you more than I've ever loved anyone... this is the realest I've ever felt..."

Oh Roman, if only you understood why you're saying that. "A-alright..." His smile returned, this time with the bonus of a small, crimson blush spreading across his cheeks. "Do you wanna go on a date with me?" The blood continued to rush to my cheeks, most likely painting them in similar colour to Roman's. "Sure..." My mouth moved on it's own. I blushed even darker, if that was possible at this point.

His smirk grew even wider, finally earning a grin from me. Suddenly, he pulled me in for a hug. I hesitated but eventually I returned the embrace. Wait... what am I doing? He's only doing and saying this because of those stupid muffins. So if I know that then why do I still feel so... fuzzy and safe in his arms? God, I need to fix this...
