Patton quickly wrapped the newly born baby, feeling nauseous from just looking at the baby which probably wasn't good trait for a nurse. Logan checked the vitals of the women on the guney and asked a few questions like how would you rate your pain from one to ten. Patton showed the women her baby who immediately brightened up a little, the exhaustion still clear in her eyes.

Logan took the baby from them, slowly teaching it how to breathe properly. He soon handed it to Patton who started rocking it from side to side, cooing at it. Logan grabbed a clipboard and marked down a few things about the baby like how many times her heart had beaten in a minute and her pluse. He went over to get the scales for after they cleaned the baby.

Patton was simply rocking the baby back and forth in his arms as he walked toward the cleaning table when the baby suddenly fell out of his hands and onto the hard tile floor with a loud crash. He covered his mouth in shock, quickly looking to the doctor in the room for guidance. Logan immediately looked over at the noise, eyes widening when he saw the baby on the floor.

He glanced back at the women on the gurney who had thankfully fainted from exhaustion and hadn't seen what happened. He looked back at Patton who still looked shocked and traumatized beyond belief. They shared a silent moment of 'oh fuck' when Patton made eye contact with him. Logan hesitantly walked over the baby, who was bleeding badly, to check her pulse.

He bent down to the floor, taking the baby's limp hand in his own and felt around for pluse on her wrist. Nothing. He felt around for her heart. Still nothing. Finally, he checked her neck as a last resort. He still felt no beating. He stood up, shaking his head. Patton was a complete loss for words, just staring at the baby on the floor who they had still neglected to pick up yet.

Following his gaze, Logan paused for another moment before slowly pushing the baby underneath the cleaning table. Patton held back a gasp, looking Logan in the eye out of shock. That was the last thing he excepted from a qualified doctor. Logan sheepishly avoided eye contact, eyes flickering all over the room. The only words that Logan could speak were "Trust me, it'll be fine."

And Patton sliently watched as the doctor left the room, needing a jar of Crofters to deal with this.

430 words.

Is that ok?

Fun fact: This based on a video a guy in my drama class showed me on the bus of four people dropping the baby onto the cleaning table but more so on the improv we made on it. My class laughed, my drama teacher was speechless and I'm not allowed to have a pretend baby in my acts anymore lol
