In all honesty, baking was Patton's favorite to do. Previously he had placed a tray of cupcakes in the oven and they were finished but, for right now, he was making icing. He put seven equal amounts in different small bowls, using food dye to colour them different colours of the rainbow. Gay cupcakes are best cupcakes. He was just putting them into icing bags when...
"Patton!" An familiar excited voice called out his name, making him turn around excitedly and drop everything he was doing instantaneously. He turned around, grinning widely like an absolute mad man with a bright twinkle in his baby blue eyes. "Ashley!" He threw his arms around her, basically squeezing her to death. She laughed to herself, returning the tight hug. "How'd you get in here?" Patton spoke through his own giggles.
"Your mum and dad let me inside!" She said, clapping her hands together. A playful grin played on her dark skinned features, freckles littering her round cheeks. Her ivy coloured eyes were wide with joy, like her smile. She was a very short girl and had a similar plump body type to Patton. Her messy sharp black hair framed her face and fell over her forehead slightly.
A red hairband held her bangs, a small bow placed on top. On top of a black shirt was red flannel shirt that was rolled up her elbows. She wore blue skinny jeans and black flats. Shielding her eyes were a pair glasses that Patton knew fully well she was practically blind without. They exchanged pleasant chatter for a while, simply catching up on what was happening in the other's life.
Eventually Patton remembered his baking and got really happy at the opportunity to ice his delicious cupcakes with his best lesbian daughter. "Alright so I'm icing cupcakes right now! You can come help!" Ashley squealed in excitement as she rushed past him into the kitchen, even happier when she saw the colours that Patton had chosen to ice the cupcakes with.
He followed her in. They both grabbed icing bags, both making rainbow decorations on the many cupcakes he baked in comfortable quiet. Soon enough though, Patton spoke, a teasing tone in his voice. "Sooo have you told Isabelle that you like her yet?" Although Patton had the purest intentions with his comment, simply wanting to know how his friend's love life was going.
The comment didn't have it's desired effects however. Ashley visably tensed up, an mix of a irritated and disappoint crossing her face. She turned to him with a groan. "Pat, please! No, besides, I don't think she likes girls..." She trailed off, expression becoming much more meloncolly. Patton's expression soured into a frown, eyebrows easing upwards in concern.
He didn't want her upset because of what he had said. In fact he didn't want her upset at all. He sadly contiuned icing cupcakes, the two falling into an unusual uncomfortable silence. After a while however, Patton got an idea to try and cheer her up. "Hey, Ash~" He spoke sweetly, holding back childish giggles. She weakly turned her head towards him, only to see the cat face like smirk on his face.
Ashley raised an eyebrow at his grin. She didn't have the time to question it though when Patton quickly raised the blue icing bag to the tip of his nose before she could react. He squeezed it so a little drop on icing fell on the tip of her freckled nose. "Boop!" He giggled. For a moment, her face remained the same. Then she smirked, raising her own icing bag threateningly. "Oh you're in for it now!"
"Ah no!"
And that's how world war three started.
