Quick authors note: Virgil's outfit is pretty much just the suit catwoman actually wears in the game this scene is from.

Roman's eyes slowly blinked open, he wasn't at his house. He tried sit up but a pain erupted in his shoulder and stomach, making him groan and fall back. He looked at his shoulder, eyes slowly drifting to his stomach. Both these areas were covered by white medical bandages. He softly tapped the one on his shoulder. "It really hasn't been your week, has it?"
Roman looked up, seeing Virgil with two cups of coffee in his hands making his way from the kitchen. He wore the leather suit that he normally did, come to think of it Roman had never seen him without it. It was sort of a trademark he supposed. His purple hair was brushed in the way of his hazel eyes and his black eyeshadow was smudged under his eye. Again, normal.
What wasn't normal was the concerned look on his pale face. Roman ingored the pain as he sat up and turned around on the crappy couch, letting his bare feet hit the floor. He couldn't help but look at his feet at the sound, noticing how there were also bandages covering his legs and it occurred to Roman that he just had basketball shorts and Virgil had full leather outfit and that was...
Like the start of really weird porno. I guess in a way it was.
Roman took the coffee from Virgil, muttering a thank you and took a long sip. After he shallowed, he laughed humorously, finally answering the question. "You think? I lost my company, my reputation and I find out my father was-" Virgil sat next to him, cutting him off midway though his sentence. He had a knowing look on his face as he spoke. "The same as everyone else."
Roman raised an eyebrow, silently prompting Virgil to explain. Virgil put down his cup and grabbed the hair brush which was just laying on the table. He began brushing his curly hair as way to pass the time. "They've all got something to hide Roman. Every last one even the so called good guys. There's always something just below the surface."
Roman sighed. Despite his usually positive nature, he knew what Virgil was saying was true, at least in a general sense. He shook his head and took another sip, talking when he finished. "I'm starting to see that myself." Virgil smirked, taking the brush out of his messy hair and throwing in the air. He caught it and tapped it to his chin as he spoke.
"Even you have your secrets. Those things you hide from the world and won't let anyone else see." Roman's eyes drifted to his superhero outfit that been discarded on the floor when Virgil wrapped his wounds while he was unconscious. He frowned, getting his foot to brush it under the couch they were sitting on and hide it from view. God, sometimes he really hated his job.
It's not that it wasn't an honor, it really was and he loved saving lives. It was just... everyone was so ungrateful and when your nearly constant company is mentally deranged people, you start going a bit round the bend too. It also made him find out more about his family history. He got it, he came from a long line of assholes, can we get lunch now?
Roman placed his other hand on his chest, gasping dramatically. The comedic action was really just to distract his mind from wondering back to what he had seen that day. "Are you saying you don't trust me?" He found ironic that a thief didn't trust him. Roman chuckled, subconsciously letting his uninjured arm rest on the couch bit behind Virgil.
Virgil put the hairbrush down, picking up his mug. He half turned to Roman with a smirk on his face. "I'm saying I probably shouldn't." He took a sip, letting his eyes drift away again. He slammed his mug down onto the table. "But good men don't lay with thieves. I know what I am. No noble intentions, just the thrill of breaking what they say can't be broken."
Roman frowned. Sure, Virgil was a thief which really wasn't the best kind of past time but there were far worse people. Hell, there were psychopaths running down the street, killing innocent people because that stupid asylum couldn't keep them in. A thief is nothing compared to them and if anyone would know that it would be Roman. "Knowing there's no safe I can't crack, no fortress I can't infiltrate."
Roman cut him off from his rant by taking Virgil's hand in his unused one, taking the man by surprise. He looked up, seeing Roman prop their arms up. Roman focused their conjoined hands before looking back to Virgil, smiling at him like he was the only thing in the world. "That's not true. I think that's just what you want people to think."
Roman squeezed his hand comfortingly while Virgil rolled his eyes. He shook his head. "You put a lot of faith in someone who doesn't deserve it. Sure, I've stolen from corrupt business people but I've taken plenty from good people too. And for what? Some shiny new toys and a crappy apartment on the edge of town." He gestured around his small, messy apartment.
He leaned back in his seat, his hand still interlocked with Roman's. He sighed before continuing to talk. "The high is nice but it... wears off and you look around and see... nothing. So you get back out there. Try chase that feeling down." Roman looked around the small living room they were in. He forced a smile. "I like it, the place has... charm." Virgil stifled a laugh, looking at his lap.
He gave a small chuckle, shaking his head. He looked up at the ceiling, a smile still present on his face.
"What's more charming the leaking pipe on the ceiling or the dirty underwear on the floor?" He joked. Roman rolled his eyes, letting go of his hand. "That's not what I meant." Virgil sighed in defeat, too tried to argue. He let his head fall onto Roman's shoulder, wrapping his arms around his shoulder. He nuzzled into Roman's neck sleepily and Roman couldn't help but smile. He kissed the top of Virgil's head, not really thinking much of it until Virgil sits up with a smirk on his face. "I was hoping for something more than that." Roman's eyes widened at his forwardness as he leaned in closer. He smirked playfully before closing his eyes as Roman took his face in his hands.
He hesitantly kissed Virgil softly. He smiled into the kiss. Roman knew he should've stopped kissing him, question what he was trying do or tell him to stop. But he didn't. He just kept kissing him, wrapping his arms around the emo's waist. He was going to push him down to lay on the couch when Virgil roughly pushed him on his injured shoulder before breaking the kiss and straddling his lap.
He winced slightly, looking up to meet Virgil's breathtaking purple eyes. "I'll make it up to you." Virgil conjoined their lips again for second but Roman wasn't complaining. He pulled away and leaned back, flicking the zip of his outfit with his finger. "Do I have to do everything or you gonna undo this for me?" Roman thought about it before Virgil's hips where he had held them before and pulled the emo closer.
"I wanna watch you." Virgil rolled his eyes but compiled anyway, taking the zip fully in his hands and pulling it down just enough to tease Roman. He slowly stood, walking backwards over to the kitchen counter. Roman chuckled slightly, shaking his head before standing up himself and following him. Virgil propped himself up on the counter.
Roman walked between his legs, bringing his lips back to him. He picked up Virgil, holding him by his thighs as he walked into Virgil's room and lay him down on the bed.
