Roman and Virgil had always been enemies and that was fact that everyone who knew them were aware of that since arguing was all they did when they were in the same room together. Being both their friends, Patton and Logan were constantly reminded of that fact whenever they hung out. It was an annoyance to everyone when they fought but it made sense.

Roman Prince was a popular theater kid who honestly too gay to function like normal teen. He was admired by many people, mostly for his looks. He  got what he wanted constantly because his parents rich and when he didn't he would get very pissed. His out of control didn't help either.

Virgil was basically the opposite. He got in trouble constantly, not really giving any fs about his health or education. He wasn't a good kid but his perceptive was... interesting to say the least. He had a horrible childhood that he refused to talk about.

So the two were extremely different but their relationship wasn't black and white. Truth be told, they were both very fond of eachother but too prideful to admit it. Both Patton and Logan were aware of the suppressed affections the two boys had for one another were extremely sick of their constant bickering so they formulated a plan involving baking, chemistry and a bit of magic.

Ever heard of love muffins? (I'm not even sorry)

It was about ten thirty when the childhood friends gave Roman the baked good, knowing full well Virgil would refuse because he didn't really like them. The muffins took effect in about an hour and basically enhanced one's romantic feelings to the point where it was impossible to resist pursing the person they were attached to.

A bit underhanded, yes but it was really the only method they could execute effectively, considering that neither of them would admit to harbouring of romantic feelings.

Since the three students had the same class route that eventually interconnected with Virgil's, Patton and Logan could examine the results of their interfere. It seemed to come into play exactly when Virgil came into sight and came toward them, either being magnificent timing or just because Roman only had eyes for the shirt emo kid. They both definitely preferred the latter.

Virgil spoke, only really to Patton and Logan. "Sup guys." Patton already felt slightly bad due to stepping where he wasn't wanted, especially when it involved the junior's love life since he'd specifically told Patton not to. Plus actually seeing his kiddo didn't make the guilt subside by any extension of the imagination. He pulled his 'son' into an explained hug but played it off as a greeting when Virgil got suspicious.

Logan and Virgil shared a simple nod as they always did since they weren't really comfortable with contact unless if it was with Patton because... Patton.
As soon as Virgil's eyes meet Roman's, his eyes narrowed in fake hatred they usually displayed when they made eye contact. "Princey." Princey was nickname often used to when referring to Roman.

Usually, Roman would return the action reply with a harsh nickname in a similar bitter tone but with love muffins taking effect, he smiled. He arched his back slightly so they were on equal eye level. "You really have beautiful eyes, how have I never noticed?" Virgil's eyes widened from their previously narrowed state, a decent size bigger than they usually rested at.

His cheeks became a pink shade quickly and his breathing hitched. He took a step back in surprise before laughing the comment off, pushing that they went to class now. As mentioned, Virgil never really cared for his schooling so this was odd, explainable but odd nonetheless. From his body language, it obvious he was anxious by the actions, in turn trying to avoid further interaction.

They all unpaused their journey to their classes, Roman walking a lot closer to Virgil then he normally would even consider to. Virgil was basically pressed against the lockers to avoid contact. "Why are you so far away?" Roman faked whined, adding a wink at the end for emphasis. This wasn't the first time Roman had flirted on their trip but it seemed to be the last straw.

"Fuck off Roman!"

He grabbed a hold of Roman's shirt selve and threw Roman against the wall using the grip on the fabric. Not too hard, mind you but enough to make a loud noise and alert everyone of what's happening. They turn their heads to gaze at the scene. Yeah, Logan and Patton definitely overstepped the bounds. They caused a violent interaction between the two people they were trying to get together.

"I have no idea how the fuck you found out but I promise that it won't stop me from fucking you up. Meet me by the back of school after class." Virgil could very imitating if he so desired to be. He had a lot of muscle hidden under his hoodie after all. The smile on Roman's didn't falter in slightest. "It's a date~" He gives the emo boop on the nose and walks off.

Virgil looked surprised at lack of reaction, looking at the small, barely visible dent in the locker and clicked tongue in thought. He was getting even more suspicious.

Logan and Patton shared a guilty look before walking to class and calling Virgil to follow them. Class went very slow, Virgil and Roman occasionally shared glances, Roman would blow a kiss and Virgil would flip him off. After class, the two boys meet, Logan and Patton following incase they needed to step in. They needn't of worried though.

Roman walked around the back, flowers in hand, roses to be exact. He legitimately thought this was a date... the magic was lot stronger than the matchmakers first anticipated but it's effects were beginning to fade, thank god. "Good afternoon, love!" Virgil groaned from his place leaning against a nearby tree. He clearly was sick and tried of Roman acting this strangely.

"You can drop the act. I know you're faking, let's get this over with." He stood up fully, no longer leaning on the tree. He punched his fists together in a threatening manner and only then did Roman seem realize he was serious. "You're going to fight me? Why?" As stated before, the effects of the magic was beginning to wear off, making Roman self aware of situation he had put himself in but still confused.

Virgil didn't seem to catch on though. "Of course! You entitled assho-" He cut himself off, looking at the bouquet in confusion. "Who are those for?" He gestured to group of flowers, making eye contact. Roman smiled, holding them out closer in an offering manner. "For you! We're on a date, I don't know where you got this fighting from."

Virgil narrowed his eyes in suspicion but his heart fluttered slightly. He never got romantic presents. Was Roman really messing with him? Or was he simply finally making a move?
"For me?" His tone came off more than he excepted. Virgil scanned the bouquet, looking for a price tag. Finding nothing, he meet Roman's eyes. "You're serious?"

Roman looked baffled before quickly regaining his composure. He showed a soft, kind smile. "I've never been more serious, darling." He took a flower from the bouquet and cupped Virgil's cheek before slipping the rose carefully behind his ear. The two stayed like that for a while before smiling at eachother kindly. "Kiss me." Roman smiled, possibly even brighter.

"Gladly." The two kissed eachother passionately while Logan and Patton awwed at the sight. After they broke apart, Roman became normal again and freaked. After Logan and Patton explained, they started dating soon to be followed by the childhood friends.

WELCOME TO THE LAND OF RUSHED ENDINNNNNGGGGGSSSS.

I changed them a bit so I'm going to explain the rules of the muffin. As written, the effects begin to take place in about an hour and only makes you act different around those you find attractive. The effects begin to wear off over the course of 24 hours and the only way to end the effects earlier is to kiss someone you fancy.

You can use it if you want to. I don't care.
