When Logan offered to show Patton a view, he jumped at the opportunity, both to see something pretty and spend more time with the logical trait. They were nearly ready to go when Logan grabbed his coat and noticed Patton wasn't doing the same. Not wanting his friend to catch a cold, he spoke up. "I believe you should bring a jacket to prevent becoming a lower and less than ideal temperature."
Patton let a smile slip and a rosy red blush warm onto his face. He felt special for being the recipient of Logan's concern even if it was just something as simple as temperature. He was sure he'd be fine though. "Don't worry, Lo. I have my cat hood, I'll be fine." He propped his hood on and stuck out his tongue. Logan still looked unsure, raising an eyebrow but didn't speak anything more of it and they soon headed out.
Long story short, Patton should've listened to his fellow side.
As magnificent as the sunset looked from the field Logan had taken him to, it was sort of a warm up act at a concert and it lead into the dark night air. Stars began to slowly dot the sky and they both got up from lying against the grass. The open field was framed with trees but the breeze still shot in, attacking Patton's skin and making him recieve some seriously noticable goose bumps.
Patton immediately shivered, unconsciously holding himself trying to generate more body heat. Logan quickly noticed his dilemma and stifled a chuckle, gesturing to Patton up and down. "This is why you should've brought a jacket with you." Patton pouted childishly at him, knowing full well that Logan was completely and utterly correct and knew it too.
Logan gave him a small half smile, a sight that while Patton saw it a lot considering how often they hung out outside videos, he still treasured it with all his heart. Patton shakily returned it, teeth chattering due to how cold it was. Logan's smile fell and he looked into Patton's eyes with a genuine sympathy that Patton wasn't used to seeing from his normally stoic friend.
He eventually sighed before slipping his coat off, draping it around Patton's shoulders. Patton grazed at the coat in surprise before shifting his eyes back to Logan, those bright brown orbs showing pure bewilderment as he tilted his head. Logan flushed a light colour as a result of his cuteness and looked away out of embrasment and shyness. "Don't look at me like that." He mumbled.
Patton searched his eyes though they had become distant for a few more seconds before he smiled. He slipped his arms though the coat and gently placed his fist underneath his chin, guiding Logan to look at him. He simply stared into the swirling hazel galaxies that were Logan's eyes and then he grinned. Logan looked right back, an almost hesitant smile gracing his lips.
They both grazed into eachothers eyes, slowly leaning in before their lips meet. Fireworks seemed to erupt in their chests as they shared a gentle but loving kiss. Patton wrapped his arms around Logan's neck and Logan's arms rested around Patton's waist, pulling each other closer. They eventually pulled away because of this thing called oxygen, both exhaling a puff of cold air.
Patton giggled as the cold mist hit his lips before shoving his face into Logan's chest, cuddling up to him. Logan was caught slightly off guard before he smiled and his own grip on Patton tightened, hugging him. As Patton nuzzled his face against Logan's chest, he was smiling brightly. All the fears of rejection, all suppressed feelings were all gone and free as Logan held him.
Now he just cuddle with him as he sighed in contentment.
If you had asked Logan before if he had emotions, he would tell you no. But now he just knew that everyone had emotions, even stiff robotic like sides like him. Patton made him feel things, he made the tin man have a heart. And Logan accepted that whole heartedly as Patton leaned his head on his shoulder as he swung their hands back and forth as they walked back home in a comfortable silence.
