He came back to reality when he heard the door of his bedroom slowly began creak open. A soft, anxious sounding voice came from the doorway, one Roman knew all too well. "H-hey, Roman?" She asked, poking her head slightly past the half open door. He smiled at Isabelle kindly. She was a foster child that his family had taken in and since she'd moved in, they become close friends.
Her soft red hair fell over shoulders in waves, surrounding her tan face. Her eyes were a jade green, matching the slip that kept her bangs out of her face. She was about the same height and weight as Roman, sporting white pajamas with pink llamas on them. "Oh, hey Izzy! How can I help you?" Grinning cheerfully, he pat a spot on his bed to invite her inside despite it being the middle of the night.
Gulping a little, she hesistatly walked in, sitting on the red bed. She curled in on herself, feeling a little unsure of herself. She glanced at Roman, seeing him giving her his full attention which was a little comforting. Her eyes shifted away as she spoke, knitting her hands together instinctively through her anxiety. "Um... well... remember that girl I told you about?"
Her cheeks flushed as she spoke, heart beating fast in her chest. At her words, Roman smirked teasingly, immediately knowing who she was talking about. "Ashley? The sweet and adorable little artist that you never shut up about? What about her?" He vexed, wiggling his eyebrows. Her face became as almost red as her hair at the teasing, glaring at him with wide eyes.
His smirk didn't faulter which only increased her embarrassment. Her eyes eventually traveled back to her interlocked hands, fiddling her thumbs together. "I-I thinking about telling her about how I feel but I don't know where to start." She stuttered. She closed her eyes, afraid of being judged and laughed at. Suddenly a hushed sequals echoed in the room. She was grabbed by the shoulders and was shook back and forth.
By the time Roman had loosened his grip, she was dizzy. "Well, why didn't you say so!? I'm the expert on romance!" He proclaimed confidently, placing a hand on his chest proudly. She rolled her eyes. "...right... Anyway, what should I do?" And then his rant started. Though he started with sound advice, he soon rambling off about cliche romance confessions from movies like songs and roses.
She should have gone to Remus.
