Logicality - Lesbian.

How does one simultaneously tell their crush that you're a lesbian and also that you like them without the possibility of being rejected or ruining their friendship?

Patty slammed her head into her desk, screaming into the wood. She slowly leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes and tried to relax.

It couldn't be so bad right? Louise wouldn't let Patty's feelings get between them right? They'd still be friends right?!Patty knew deep down that was true, that it wouldn't matter to Louise and they could still remain friends.

But the irrational fears still lingered in her mind.

She just wanted everything to stay the same but she knew if she didn't address her feelings, they'd never go away.

She sighed before deciding to just get it over with. She stood from her seat and left her room. As she exited her room, she noticed it was the morning. She swore it was ten PM when she entered her room. She realized how much she had been overthinking this.

She mentally facepalmed.

This was fine.

It would fine.

She walked down the stairs, quickly spotting her roommate and the object of her affections reading the paper. All the confidence Patty previously had gathered completely vanished. Louise was so pretty that the words got physically stuck in her throat.

She had short black hair, held back in a bun. She always dressed formally, complete with a black polo shirt, tidy blue jeans and a blue tie. Black square rimmed glasses shielded her brown eyes that swirled almost like little galaxies.

She didn't seem to notice Patty was there as she took a sip of coffee from her mug.

Patty's mouth moved before her mind could. "God, I envy that coffee mug, it gets to kiss your lips everyday." It was barely audible but Louise still heard it but didn't understand what was being said. She looked up from the paper in her hands and smiled at Patty. "Oh, greetings and salutations Patty. Can I help you?"

"U-uh yeah, um..." Patty stuttered over  her words, playing with nothing in particular in her hands. Louise raised an eyebrow at her strange, somewhat flustered behavior. Patty took a deep breath before speaking. "Is your name Katniss? Because you're sparking a rebellion in my district." Louise scrunched up her face in confusion.

She clearly didn't understand where the comment was coming from which was something Patty was afraid of. "Pardon?" Patty sighed, silently questioning if this really was a good idea. "Well, I guess what I'm trying to say is the only thing straight about me is my teeth."

Louise froze when she realized what Patty meant, eyes darting around the room. "I-" Patty balled her hands into fists anxiously. She knew this would happen. Louise was trying to find a nice way to reject. She felt herself begin to shake a little in her panic.

Quickly beginning to start damage control, she tried to shrug it off, fighting off the tears threatening to fall. "Nevermind Louise, it was dumb." She tried to run back up to her room but Louise grabbed her wrist before she could. She turned around only for Louise to say. "Can I try your lipstick?"

Confusion intensifies.

"O-oh! Ok. Let me ju-" Before Patty could pull it out of her pocket, outside gently brought the lips together. She tasted like apple juice and peach and Patty fell in love with the feeling of kissing her crush, wrapping her arms around her neck. As they pulled away, Louise spoke softly, saying something that she only dreamed of hearing.

"I return your feelings, Patty."

It's like the air was completely knocked out of her as red engulfed her cheeks. "Wow, uh... I mean! Um... was that a pick up line?" Louise nodded, an unsure smile on her face. Patty returned it. "I want to make like, crazy science with you." Louise chuckled lightly, bringing their lips together again gently.
