Quick recap:

His smirk grew even wider, finally earning a grin from me. Suddenly, he pulled me in for a hug. I hesitated but eventually I returned the embrace. Wait... what am I doing? He's only doing and saying this because of those stupid muffins. So if I know that then why do I still feel so... fuzzy and safe in his arms? God, I need to fix this...

Virgil's POV:

"It's not a date, date. Even if was, it doesn't even count when he's like this!" I paced around my bedroom as my brother, Logan, listened intently to my romantic struggles. I knew he wasn't exactly the best person to come to about my love prob- muffins but I honestly just needed to discuss it with SOMEONE. "Even so, I believe your situation can yield positive results." I turned to him in confusion, questioning what he meant and if I wanted to know.

"How so?" I raised an eyebrow slightly. He pushed his black rimmed glasses up his nose as he began to speak, in a successful attempt to appear smarter. "Well, you got him out of a potentially emotionally abusive romantic partnership, considering his significant others confession of being an unloyal companion." I nodded, that made sense.

"Secondly, this is research opportunity you can use to your advantage. You don't have enough extra credit to get into a good college, brother." I couldn't help but roll my eyes at my older brothers statement, he is such a goody two shoes. "Is that it?" I growled as Logan fell retentively silent. He finally made eye contact with me and stood up, taking a step toward.

"And finally, you two mutual relationship and not necessarily a romanticized one either. Virgil, to put it bluntly, you do not socially interact enough with people your age range. Not only does it concern because it's bad for a person to stay inside as much as you, it also concerns me because you are my brother and I want you to be safe and well."

I felt my lips curve up into a grin. "God, that's so cheesy, Logan..." Logan smirked at me before pulling me into gentle embrace. It immediately reminded me of Princey's hug in the hallway except this time I didn't take half as much time to return the warmth. After a while, he let go. "Well, I must be off now. I need to inform mother of your plans for tomorrow."

He began to leave my room. As he was about to leave the doorway, he turned around to face me. "But do not worry, I will not tell her specifically of your romantic endures." He quickly slammed my door as I threw my bag threw at it in annoyance. I heard my phone's text tone, picking it up in a failed attempt at ignoring the blush spreading across my cheeks.

"Hello, my dear! It's Roman!"

I seemed to choke on air as I read the the text. Where'd he get my number? Almost immediately, he sent another message.

"And before you ask, I got your number from Patton."

It was if he read my mind, the crimson continuing to spread across my cheeks. I responded.

"oh hey Princey what do u want"

"Oh, thank goodness! I thought Patton had given me a fake number!"

"I'm texting because I had a idea for our date!

"care to tell me"

"No way! It wouldn't be surprise then!"

"Just meet me at the park."

"alright"

I sighed and turned off my phone and waited for dinner.
