Kabanata 33: Wedding Planner

After the twins birthday party before going home I was drag beside Mrs. Fuentes. I'm not prepared though, seeing in front of her are some media while they are taking video of us and I just feel confused. That's the only interview that I remember I had with Mrs. Fuentes that Markus is claiming. That was after party and we are still wearing our costume and I feel a bit ashamed that time and honestly I really want to correct Mrs. Fuentes claims for praising me as an Event Organizer. But in the end I could even object and just smiled at them. That night I'm happy because I was also invited to sleep at their place because of the twin.

Today I'm so pissed hearing Markus asking of how much my work would be, it is disrespectful and I never see it coming from him. I glared at him and excuse him for that remarks but I just got a smile reply from him. I explained that it is not my job so he better stop asking me those weird questions. 

Hindi pa natapos ang umaga namin ay halos naiirita na ako sa mga tanong nito, kesyo nagresearch daw ba ako tungkol sa kaniya, ano ano pa daw ba ang alam ko at kung saan ko daw nalaman na engaged na siya kay Tanya? I almost bit my lip and at that moment I stop talking to him. Gusto ko na lamang na bilisan na namin ang aming kilos para masimulan na ang trabaho. Pasalamat na lamang ako at tumahimik na din ito.

Nakarating kami sa hotel nila, dalawang Engineer ang sinundo namin. Pagkatapos magpakilala ay tumulak na nga kami sa lugar na dapat puntahan. Everything went smooth, they are all busy doing their job, while I'm busy too showing them our province. We went at the park, city hall, bridges and some other government property. Mukhang pinaghandaan nga ni Mayor ang proyektong ito, sa tingin ko ay mukhang malaki ang budget niya dito.

While the two are taking pictures and videos of the place, Markus was standing just right beside me. I just feel indifference but seeing the two just working and not even minding us makes me feel a bit normal. Although I just play it cool though, I just play my part leading them as what Mayor want me to do. I just keep quite and when they ask me about the place I answer them. I'm thankful that Markus keep his cool too he never says anthing that can trigger me.

When the survey finished we headed back at the municipality. Mayor is also waiting for them. Tahimik kami buong byahe, nakaupo ako sa may front sit katabi ng driver habang silang tatlo ay nasa likuran. I can hear them talking about the place that we went through, they already have their suggestions and Markus also start saying about the time frame that they might finish the project. I'm empressed how Markus team think, for the three of them I can say that they really have a good coordination.

Nang makarating na sa munisipyo ay nagpaalam na ako kay Mayor at nagpasalamat naman ito sa akin. Ngiti at tango lamang ang iginawad ko dito at umalis na din. Pagkalabas ko ng opisina nito ay rinig ko pa ang ibang empleyado na naguusap usap, lahat sila ay pawang hindi alam kung sino ang bisita ni Mayor ngunit kita mo sa mga mukha nila kung gaano sila kamangha sa mga ito. Napapailing na lamang ako lalo na ng marinig ko na lahat sila ay kinokompirma na sobrang gwapo ang bisita ngayon ni Mayor.

Gusto ko na munang makapagpahinga at maligo, ramdam ko na ang lagkit ng katawan ko dahil na rin sa pagbababad sa araw ngunit maraming beses na sinigurado ni Markus na nasa lilim naman ako pag nagsasagawa sila ng survey. Napapaisip pa din ako kung anong ibig sabihin niya sa pag-uusap namin kaninang umaga. Pinapakiramdam ko din ang aking sarili tungkol sa pagkikita namin ngayon. Talagang hindi pa din ako makapaniwala, halo halong emosyon ang aking naramdaman. Ang puso ko ay halos lito pa rin kung matutuwa ba ako o malulungkot, matutuwa dahil pumunta siya dito dahil sa akin o malulungkot dahil kinumpirma niya na engaged na nga sila ni Tanya. Malalim na paghinga ang aking ginawa at kinalma na ang aking sarili. Ngayon palang ay gusto ko ng pigilan ang aking sarili sa pag-iisip tungkol kay Markus, kailangang itatak ko sa aking isip na may proyekto ito kaya't nandito at wala na dapat pa akong pakialam sa personal na buhay nito.
