"Summer, she's probably fine" Raven reassured while she stroked through my hair, I looked up to her watching her red eyes while I slightly panicked "Yang's with her and they are only in vale, she's probably just gotten distracted and lost track of time"

"Raven! It's one in the morning, we told them both to be back by eight!" I shouted, I could tell that my wife was also worried but she was a lot calmer.

Until then the door opened.

We both rushed to the door seeing Yang half way through taking off her shoes, she looked up at us in confusion "what's up?" She asked, honestly Raven was a bit annoyed with her child for being home so late but when no Ruby followed Yang through the door we both got a little more panicky.

"Yang where's Ruby?" Raven asked as the blond then looked around sharing our worry.

"She isn't back yet?" The blond asked as we shook our heads "man I sent her back hours ago way before her bed time" she said rubbing the back of her head.

"You didn't go with her?"

"Well I walked her to the air stop, and give her, her airship pass and the time of her ship I figured she would have been able to get home from there"

Understandable, that part of the journey home is usually one Ruby does on her own, she should have been able to get back on her own, since it was only a fifteenth minute ride from the city centre to Beacon and then a short walk from there even if she forgot her ship or anything a police officer should have came to help since wolf faunas aren't suppose to be left alone for longer then a certain length of time in certain places and the city centre is one of them.

And then the house phone started to ring, I picked it up trying to think who is the idiot who calls people at this time.

As I then heard a officer introduce himself, staiting that a Ruby Rose was picked up three hours ago after she stopped a robbery, I sighed into the phone not one of anger but absoult releaf as I heard him talk and describe what happened.

"Is Ruby ok though?" I asked my tail wagging when I got a positive reply, he seemed to be rather happy about it aswell as I motioned to Raven, who grabbed her car keys "we'll come pick her up in a little bit" I said before hanging up.

"Right this way ma'am" the officer said leading us into the station into a little secluded room revealing Ruby curled up reading a childish book with a blanket rapped around her as she snuggled up sleepily to the arm of the armchair she was sitting on.

"Ruby!" I called out happily watching as her bushy tail started to wag she put down her book as she held open her arms, I quickly rapped my own around her, feeling her nuzzle into my shoulder.

"She's been having quite a nice time curled up there reading our books" the officer commented watching as I pulled the blanket off her and picked her up.

"Well she's always loved books" Raven said with a smile "Sum don't coddle her too much, she's stayed up way past her bed time"

I pouted at that but I relaxed my squeezing a little and started to stroke the girl's hair, she looked incredibly tired and soon after I started to stroke her, she fell right asleep her arms loosely holding onto my shoulders while she rested limply on my shoulder the officer watched with a smile as I petted her.

"Alright, I just need one of you to sign a form quickly to release her scythe thing form our custody" the officer said as Raven then jumped to it, quickly scribbling her signature over a load of papers, and then watching as a officer struggled to get the unfolded scythe through a door.
