"Come on Raven ! It's only been three years!" My stepmother growled to herself, while she wiped sweat off her brow. She's been doing this for hours now, running up and down the yard, regurgitating and then more running. Up and down all day even Azrial got dizzy from watching, it was funny to watch the bird fall off the tree.
"Raven still at it?" My mother asked sitting next to where I was on the back porch.
"She's been running for hours" I whined feeling my mother softly stroke the back of my head.
"If I didn't know any better I would think that she would be racing Beast" my mother joked slightly pointing at the confused horse which was trotting along with my ravenous family member, setting the pace.
"Beastie is super fast, I can't run after him without my semblance" I added as my mother chuckled a little
"Perhaps you go run with her? Show her how tired she really is" my mother smiled as I nodded determinedly, pulling off my boots from my own training earlier, Before dropping onto all fours.
Raven looked down at me as I trotted at her side, she growled speeding up to Beast and my own confusion, but we sped up as well following her as she touched the fence before turning around running the other direction. We did the same easily matching her pace as she growled again and sped up as well, this pressed continued for a while, until my stepmother was full on charging down the yard while Beast was cantering with a long stride and I was struggling to keep pace. For a person who runs with two legs she is really fast, and as she picked up the pace even more I found myself stumbling into her, but to my luck her arms suddenly found a place scooping up under my torso keeping myself from eating more dirt then I ever wanted to in my life. I squeaked as she came to a stop, very out of breath as she held me, before then falling back onto the grass as Beast snuffled at my face. I giggled petting the horse's huge head before I tried to push out of my stepmother's arms... but to no avail, I tried harder but it just wasn't working, she really didn't want to let go. "No" she muttered as I looked up to her peacefully sleeping face.
"Aww she tired herself out, how cute" my mother chuckled coming up and watching me wiggle about trying to get free.
"Summer no" she mutter again making my mother laugh
"Looks like your stuck pup, guess I'll just leave you here, all alone outside as it starts to get dark" she teased walking off as I cried out for her "Aww I'm just kidding, Yang ! Get out here!"
"Wha?" The blond asked leaning from the doorway with a donut stuffed in her mouth "did Ruby get her leg trapped in the drain pipe again?"
"I wish, that was hilarious, Raven passed out and I'm not strong enough to carry her and Ruby"
"Boo weak" my sister hallered jokingly before scoffing all of the donut rubbing her hands together as she hefted us both up "By the way, that weird girl is being harassed by Qrow"
"Typical" my mother sighed following Yang inside before she dropped us both onto a sofa. "Qrow get out or I'll make you into a pie" my mother instructed as my farther squwarked before flying up into the rafters joining the multitude of ravens that roost up there "close enough" she sighed "sorry about that Amber"
"Its fine, I've had to deal with a few unwashed men during my travels "she commented, making my uncle snigger and my mother chuckle.
"""CAT!"""
"""CAT!"""
The ravens cawed a whole flock decended from the rafters chasing after whiskers as he hissed before running away. "Blake is gonna kill me!" Yang shouted quickly coming to her cat's aid while my mother and me held our ears down. "Get off you emo pigeons!"
