chapter XV: back from the dead.

"NO!" Ruby screamed as I tried to calm her down "I DONT WANT THAT THING NEAR ME!"

"Ruby~ it's ok, it will just be fore a second" I muttered keeping my voice very low but Ruby just shrieked again. But then a idea came to my head as I crouched down "come on let's go to a little walk" I said as she sobbed. "Just for some fresh air" I said holding out my hand letting her slowly grab onto it and follow me into the elevator, when she got inside she let go and started rubbing her eyes and ears.

"Itchy" she complained pawing at her ears as I chuckled scratching them for her and making her fall into bliss.

"Come on little puppy" I laughed walking through the halls with her right besides me. We just took a wander across the courtyard and sat in a field of grass "Let's just sit and mull things over" I said laying down on the grass as Ruby copied me.

We just lay there in complete silence, the only sound being heard was the gentle rush of wind tickling the tips of the grasses we lay on, the leaves rusled in winter air, as a single flake of snow drifted down from the cloudy sky. "Snow?" Ruby asked.

"Its almost the end of winter now" I said looking at the girl "it's been spars of snow for a while"

Ruby just watched as more flakes fell before she shuffled up to me "when I was with Salem she never let me outside" that made me look at her listening intensively "she always wanted me to be with her and she never let me out of her sight"

"Did you like it?" I asked as she shrugged.

"I didn't mind it, but after a while my legs started to hurt because I couldn't stretch them" she mumbled "it's better here though" she said happily, sprawling out on the grass as I chuckled.

"That's good then" I laughed stroking the girl's hair, she smiled brightly up at me before rapping her arms around my neck "I know that you don't want to go in there and face Tai Yang" I said with a shaky breath as she whimpered "but we have to know, we just have to know that you where one hundred percent correct, and Tai Yang Was the person who did this to you" I said motioning to her jaw for emphases.

"But I still don't wanna, and what if he achally is? What will you do?" She asked as I rubbed my hair.

"Then you will never have to see him again, and if you do we'll make sure he never dose anything to you" I said ignoring the pain it brings me to tell my youngest daughter this. But if I don't it  set her on edge more then she already is.

"You will?" She said looking up at me as I chuckled rubbing her shoulder.

"Of course I will, I'm Your mother after all and that's what mother's do" I chuckled watching as her tail waged and she rapped her arms around me "there's a good girl, and besides, nothing will get past these" I said patting the top of my swords.

"Now let's get this over with" I said kissing the top of her head and stroking her ears back making her giggle a little as I stood up helping her up soon after.

"Don't be alarmed, it is the only way we could properly restrain him" Peach said tapping on a scroll before she started to manipulate Ruby's body looking her over quickly.

"I still want to nail that son of a bitch in the face"i growled before catching myself slightly "and if I find you using that language your in for it to" I then warned Ruby who giggled a little at me.

" I wouldn't" she chirped making me ruffle her hair, that's why she's my favourite child. Though just as we where about to walk into the bolted hall Ruby suddenly yelped out her left leg suddenly becoming very stiff so stiff that she had to hop to the wall while she jutted her leg out to the side .
