"Weiss Schnee has just released to the public that equal pay will be given to all Schnee Dust Company employees, faunas and human" the news reporter spoke on the Tv as I sat in front of it "she will be supplying further information at the conference later this week"

"Mum can I go see Weiss?" I asked rolling onto my back looking at the woman who was currently curled up with my stepmother.

"Weiss? Sure, I can call her round if you want" she just said making my tail wag as I cheered before my sister came into the room holding a weird shaker full of a pink speckily liquid.

"Rubes I'm making a milk shake you want one?" she asked as I nodded kicking my legs on the fome mat that my parents layed down for me so while I rolled about on the floor with my leg off I didn't hit my head too bad. But it made me feel like a baby on the way they treated me, I didn't hate it but I didn't like it either, it was degrading to just be ignored when they wanted to take control. "Cool, it'll be done in a few minutes" my sister said smiling at me as I sent her one in return.

"Ruby you want to come here and snuggle with mummy?" My mother asked patting the empty patch of chair next to her, I wagged my tail and clamber on, curling up to the woman who smiled and started to stroke my ears softly "How about, we go on a walk with Weiss tomorrow? Would you like that baby girl?" She asked soothingly.

"Sounds fun!" I chirped looking at the woman who smiled pinching my cheek with her fingers.

"Your so lucky your cute" she squealed hugging me as I wagged my tail happily and nuzzled into her embrace, as my sister came into the room holding two tall glasses of milk shake, both of them appearing to be strawberry.

"Rubes it's all ready now" my sister smiled passing me my own glass and then popping a straw in the top. I smiled at her before sipping on the milky treat as my mother draped her arm over my body, stroking my side lightly as she turned her attention back to the film, wiggling underneath my stepmother's arm as the woman snored the day away

"You have a project due tomorrow" Summer informed checking her scroll before she continued to stroke me.

"Yeah I know, Blake helped me with it" my sister sighed watching Summer stroke my shoulder, I just lat there looking very calm on her side as I was petted. "Weiss as literally been itching to see Ruby, she's been on my back all month about my assignments"

"You know she's just trying to be a good replacement leader, but she dose have a point, you are rather far behind in your studies" Summer said glaring at the blond who shrugged before sitting down next to me, stroking my tail softly.

"So is Ruby for that matter" Yang smirked watching as I lifted my head a bit at the mention of my name, before going back to sipping on the creamy cold drink.

"Achally no she isn't, Ruby doesn't get assignments the same way you do" Raven commented suddenly making herself known as she then yawned "She's not really allowed to have work that cuts into free time, so she is required to do all her assignments with the help of a useful teacher during lessons"

"Lucky, but that dose explain why Ruby always comes back from classes with absoulty nothing in her bag apart from a doodle filled note book and her pencil case"

"I miss those crocodile pencils" I then commented thinking about the pair of pens, both of them where upside down green cartoonish crocodiles with a pen nib sticking out of the middle of it's snout. They where made for faunas children who couldn't understand that they needed to write bigger for humans to be able to read it, but the fine line of ink made for a really good drawing tool.

"I could go get your school bag if you want?" Yang asked still stroking my tail, I really didn't mind my sister stroking the fluffy appendage but it was very sensitive and I didn't appreciate just anyone even daring to touch it. " I think Weiss rifled through it at one point but I don't think she took your pencil case" Yang said tapping her chin.
