chapter XXXIV: broken leg

"Ruby!" Yang shouted watching as her sister took one magnificent fall down the stairs, I rushed to her side as her face scrunched up in pain before she fell limp against the hard concrete.

"What happened?" I asked before just looking over the girl wincing at the smudge of blood on the wall.

"Err" Blake asked holding up... a leg? Well achally the broken off foot of Ruby's prosthetic, I looked to the other half and sure enough there was a brake just at the ankle. "I think she needs a new leg"

"I think she needs a helmet" Yang mumbled crouching down at Ruby's side stroking her cheek with her finger "Rubes?" She asked but got no response what so ever "yeah she's not waking up"

"Umm what shall we do?"Blake asked crouching down next to Ruby aswell so we are all now just crouching around our leader in a circle in the stairwell. "Should we just leave her here?"

"No we can't just leave her here" Yang said straightening out Ruby's tail so it's no longer bent in a weird position. "And I don't know if we should move her"

"Should we call your parents?" I asked Yang who was internally debating before shaking her head.

"No they don't have their scrolls on" Yang said before she awkwardly pulled Ruby's cloak out from under her, folding it neatly into a make shift pillow which she carefully slipped behind the girl's head. "Her mouth is bleeding" she then said "and her nose"

"I think she bit her tounge" Blake said "and her lip"

"Are we just completely disregarding the head trauma?" I asked looking at my two other teammates who where contemplating what to do.

"If disregarding it makes it go away then yes, if not I can always shout for my mum" Yang said carefully moving around her sister to position her in a way she is not in more pain then the as said before head trauma "yeah I think we need help"

"MUM! HELP!"

"How is that going to work?-" Blake asked just as professor Rose's portal appeared just over Ruby's unconscious body.

"""No no no no""" we all said as the professor was just about to stand on her chest.

"Wha-? Ok"she said side stepping the girl so now the stairwell was extra crowded "is this why you called me?"

"She fell into the wall" Yang said as her mother crouched down next to the girl, so now there's a bigger circle of people surrounding my unconscious puppy.

"From the top?" Raven asked as we all nodded " How did you do that pup?" She asked the unconscious girl "been in the wars this week" she sighed "alright Yang pick her up Weiss make sure you use her cloak to support her head and you emo cat just help in any way you can, I'm going to go get a med kit" the professor said going up the stairs Ruby just fell down while Yang awkwardly picked up her sister while I was right next to her using the cloak like before said.

"Come on Rubes let's get you to Weiss' bed" Yang muttered into her sister's ear kissing her forehead.

"Why my bed?" I asked angrily.

"Because she always ends up in it" Yang sniggered while Blake ran ahead to open doors.

"At least your mother is no longer calling me dipshit" Blake sighed running forwards to open yet another set of doors.

"Yeah it's because she realised she knows your mum" Yang said "and I think emo cat fits you better"

"Blake can you..." I said motioning to the dorm room making me feel bad when Blake had to run back and struggle with her scroll to open the door. "Thank you" I said smiling at the faunas who started to fluff my pillow for Ruby to be layed softly onto it and my covers to be layed over half her motionless body.
