Chapter L: a very long black rope

-" the kingdom of Mystral has announced that they will change their faunas policy and receive city funding from the Schnee Dust Company. Weiss Schnee has spoken to the public about the Mystal government and that her company will only support them under the circumstances that their new policy benefits all Faunas but mainly wolven Faunas... "-

"What are we even planning to do today?" Yang asked laying back on the hardwood floor of our dorm, the news talking in the background.

"We have classes you know" Blake sighed using one hand to hold up her book while she used the other to stoke over my hair and scratching my ears lightly.

"Who cares, let's ditch" Yang declared watching as I flicked my tail in slight annoyance by the fact that Blake stopped petting, I whined at her for a few seconds before she responded to Yang.

"You can't ditch class just because you want to" Blake growled as she then continued her stroking, her hand softly moving over my hair and ears while I curled at her side since Yang is mean.

"Don't have such a stick up your ass, you sound like Weiss" my sister groaned, before looking towards where I was curled up, my head resting on Blake's hip as she lounged on her bed "are you stealing my girlfriend Ruby?" She then joked as I shook my head slightly.

"Your mean" I pouted just as the dorm room door slammed open signalling for both Blake and me to jump into the air and scatter like mice under torch light.

"Yang Xiao Long!" Weiss growled a box of dust in hand while I watched from up in my bunk hiding behind my curtains just peaking out from under the white sheet, while Blake on the other hand checked for danger from underneath her bed. "Did you steal my dust!?" She shouted causing the Faunas of the room to shy away from the loud sounds.

"What? No" Yang sighed standing up "ok I stole some burn, only because I ran out of ammo and I had a training match in five seconds"

"I had a whole box of white dust and it's gone!" She continued to shout opening the box to show the collection of empty viles.

"White dust? Weiss I sware I haven't touched anything but the burn, it could have been Nora she spent a while near your stores yesterday" Yang said defensively before Weiss growled marching out of the dorm with another slam of the door "you two can come out now, it's safe" Yang called watching as both Blake and me- I, crept out of our hiding places.

"Does she have to slam the door all the time" Blake growled annoyed, while I cautiously jumped down, wobbling a bit before falling into my sister's awaiting arms.

"How did you even get up there without your Leg?" Yang asked delivering me back to the dark haired cat's bed.

"Skill" I shrugged before looking at Blake sympathetically, she was just standing there rubbing her ears while Yang did a similar thing to mine to try and ward off the ringing.

"What do you think is going on with Weiss?" Yang then asked as I shrugged, before Weiss came back into the room, not slamming the door this time.

"Ruby, can you come with me for a little bit?" She asked kindly as I gave my sister a worried look, strapping on my leg before coming to Weiss's side. "I've got a job for you to do" she declared

"Is your sense of smell as good as I read?" She asked bringing me into the school's dust storage, I shivered a little at the climate controlled area, before I nodded towards her. "Do you thinking could figure out who has been stealing my dust?" She asked as I nodded watching as she unlocked the farraday cage around our team's area, almost all the viles large boxes and crates had Weiss' crest on them, considering she's a dust mage. Some of them had a red ribbon around them, like my whole crate of dust rounds the crate it's self is bigger then I am, i could fit into one of the five sections inside, all of them where pretty full of volatile rounds, which is why the crate has it's own cage locked to the floor and needs my scroll to be unlocked not just my key. Yang just had a small selection of crystals and a empty box of burn dust, Blake had something similar but she also has a small box of dust blades.
