chapter XXV

"RAAA" Ruby roared jumping on me making me giggle as she pulled at my cloths with her teeth not achally biting me at all but just playfully nipping at my sleeve. She looked at me her tail wagging wildly as she molted rosepetals like it was nothing, but they where really creating a mess.

"Hello puppy" I sighed rubbing her head as she then pulled at the fabric of my two week old clothes, if it was anyone else who was pulling at things like my skirt and shirt I probably would slap them harshly across the face, mabye freeze them to a wall upside down for a few hours. but this was Ruby I'm not going to stop her from pulling at me like this exspecally if she's just trying to just get me somewhere.

So after a little of debating I managed to convince my bones and limbs to get up letting Ruby grab onto the first thing her hand came to as she dragged me out of the room I was staying in, just bearly keeping up in my sleepy stait as she dragged me through the halls before she pushed me into a small library "What is it little Rose?" I asked yawning as Ruby let go and scampered up to a specific bookshelf and she just looked up. "Which book do you want?" I asked as she pointed at one on the very top shelf.

The shelf that Blake needed a chair to reach, but the little wolf of our time didn't see that, and the poor thing probably thinks we're giants.

"Weiss why are you laughing?" Ruby asked looking up at me as I tried to (and failed to) control my laughter.

"It's nothing just passing thought" I giggled off before looking back up at the book of fairytails, tapping my chin for a second I then came up with a idea.

I ran off for a few seconds before coming back with a small stool standing on it before lifting Ruby far up above my head, watching as she giddily reached for the book her fingers just brushing the bottom of it as I then hopped onto my toes watching as she grabbed the book holding it close "don't look down" I advised as I brought the small teen down and setting her back on the floor.

"Thanks Weiss!" The girl chirped before looking up at me as I stepped off the stool "would you like to read with me?" She asked blushing slightly.

"Of course I would" I smiled at my childish girlfriend as she then sped off in a cloud of petals appearing a little ways off by a table as I whispered "dolt" under my breath before walking up to her sitting down next to her as she opened her book of choice, I looked at her before I started to read it out loud watching as her tail waged and she shuffled up to my side letting me rap my arm around her shoulder as I animated the story.

I just watched in amusement as Yang threw a rope from where she was hiding, Ruby who was just laying against me flicked her ear trying to focus on the story not the rope that was jiggling about on the floor. Yang being kind to put a few knots in the rope so Ruby had some chance of keeping grip.

But Yang frowned as Ruby appeared uninterested from where the blond was hiding behind a bookshelf. But in reality the where claw marks in the table from where Ruby is trying to hold herself back, as I have now learnt it's a little disrespectful for a human to encourage animal like behaviour in faunas, it's ok when it's mother and daughter like Raven and Ruby and is exspecally ok with Summer and Ruby, but with Yang and Ruby they are stepsisters but it's still not ok.

But Yang doesn't care, Ruby on the otherhand was trying not to offend our very regal hosts, and well... the old leaders of a faunas rights extremist. But Yang wasn't giving up on her sister that easily so she then flicked the rope like a snake slashing out, she brushed up against the bottom of Ruby's paw like foot tickling the fur that escaped the cracks between her pads Ruby retracted her leg up and tried to ignore her sisters attempts, gnashing her teeth together, scratching the table with her claws, flexing her toes and gripping onto a low baring bar on her chair with her more canine like claws.
