chapter IV: lost bird

"Summer" I said nocking on the door to our bed room "are you going to come out?"I asked but I got no response, I sighed sitting down against the door "I miss her too you know, but it's been four months, you've bearly left that room"

"Go away"

That gave me some hope, I haven't heard the woman talk for a whole week, until a idea came to my head, I smiled pulling out my scroll and slipping it under the door. "Look the alarm hasn't gone off once" I said trying to get some kind of reaction from my wife.

"She's ok" I heard a sighed of relife as then the door suddenly opened and I fell backwards into the room rubbing my head "Alright I'm ready to come out" she said as I looked to her.

And she looked ghastly

Her hair was greasy and unwashed her clothing haphazardly thrown on and a large amount of ice cream stains marred the shirt. "Good, because your taking a bath" I choaked standing up and scooping her up.

It really didn't take long to be able to throw her in a tub of warm soapy water, and I also think the whole world cheered at my actions.

"You know I still feel bad lieing to Yang" Summer said with a shaky voice as I scrubbed her clean.

"Well, the existence of Salem is classified information, it's not exactly like we could tell her, that her little sister is in a castle so far away that it would take seven days to fly there"

"But she thinks her sister is dead! The only one who know the truth as Weiss"

"I know"i said softly, " but it's classified, we can't tell anyone without Ozpin's permission"

"What do you think she's doing right now?" Summer asked me looking up at the window "do you think she's ok?"

"I'm sure... she's in one piece" I have no idea what could have happened to the young rose, the vatla festival the festival she's been looking forward to is long past and I doubt Ruby is in good condition at the moment, poor thing is probably having to handle hard core interrogation "I think she would be missing us"

"I do aswell" I sighed "Alright let's get you dry" I said helping my naked wife out of the tub, she shivered a little but was ok after I rapped a towel around her, at that same moment her ears twitched and she looked at me.

"Yang's back"she announced and I just nodded my head, I watched as she slowly crept around me and down stairs up to the blond.

"WHOA" Yang shouted as she suddenly spotted the Rose right next to her, in a split second she started to stumble back and fall until Summer took hold of her hand and righted her again. "Thanks"

"No problem" the faunas just replied, nuzzling into the brawler's shoulder as she passed into the kitchen.

"Hey" I just annoced from the top of the stairs looking down at my daughter from the balcony.
