chapter XXIV: white fang

"Blake has been rather distant lately" Weiss commented while she carefully pet my tail.

"Yeah I don't think she's been paying much attention to her parents either" my sister added watching as I growled a little at Weiss making her slow down in her petting being even more gentle. "How about Ruby-"

"How about let's not?" My stepmother suddenly cut in coming over and pulling me into her arms "I don't want you to start pushing Ruby to do anything" she growled at her daughter, before looking at me softly and stroking stray hairs away from my face "i think we've had enough of that for a while" my stepmother said as I started to nuzzle into her side as she rubbed my shoulder.

"I was going to say that Ruby could go talk to Blake since they are best friends" Yang growled

"I already know what's bothering Blake" I said as Yang and Weiss looked at me exspecingly "I'm not allowed to tell you"i then added as the two groaned.

"You can tell me, can't you?" Raven asked as I shook my head Blake specifically said that I can't tell anyone no matter who and I'm not going to brake that promise. "Mean" She pouted "but fair" she added.

"How about I go talk to Blake?" Raven asked as the two nodded "Your coming with" she then said to me as I nodded holding onto her as she carried me away

"You know I could hear you coming" Blake mumbled looking up from her book and wiggling her ears for emphases and making me giggle.

"You know I don't know you range with those things" my stepmother said braking out of her over zealous creeping around pose. Before she then put me down watching as I sat next to my friend and.

"What Are you reading?" I asked.

"Don't know put your finger there" she said pointing to a spot on the book, I shrugged and complied.

*Snap!*

"Blake!" I giggled as she smirked at me before she opened the book realising my finger from it's pages as she slotted a bookmark and closed the book properly setting it on a small pile next to her before she pulled out a different book and showing it to me "ooo" I said as she opened it up.

"Is there something you want?" She asked looking up to my stepmother who smiled watching me read with my friend before she sighed sitting down next to the cat.

"I want a small talk" Raven said getting on her teacher face as well as a note pad. "Yang is worried about and I want to know why, you've been moodier then normal and it's not only effecting her but your whole team"

"Do you really what to know?" Blake sighed as she looked at me as I smiled headbutting her shoulder to encourage her.

"I kinda do considering that I'm a teacher" my stepmother said making Blake look up at her.

"My parents used to be the leaders of the white fang" she said looking down somewhat in shame.

"And let me guess you joined aswell?" Raven asked as Blake nodded "Your worried about that? Look kid everyone was part of the white fang back then of you where a faunas you was most likely part of the white fang in fact even Summer was part to the white fang back in the day" my stepmother said pulling out her scroll and showing the faunas a picture of my mother at a faunas rights rally draped in a blue flag with a circle and a wolf head on it, my mother was smiling at the camera carrying me in her arms I was just holding up a small flag of my own in joy.

"But I never left when it changed leaders" Blake muttered.

"Are you still part of the white fang now?" Raven asked
