"Shoes cloak, chop chop" I said clapping my hands at Ruby who whined curling up under her cave that she made from the numerous cushions and blankets in the living room. "Come on you have a examination in two hours" I then said a lot softer then my past commanding tone, the nine year old just gruffed at me.
I really wish Summer was here, this will be easier if she was, but unfortunately she's out somewhere with Yang "teaching the basics of being a huntress" whatever that means.
"Come on get up" I sighed as the girl burred herself deeper into the blankets, "Ruby~" I cooed ticking her little paw feet that where sticking out making her giggled as I started to tickle her stomach aswell, I forget that she's not Yang and shouting at a blanket burrito won't get her up.
"Mummy!" The girl squealed giggling happily before I stoped my tickling, smiling at her with a wide grin as she hugged onto my arm.
"What is it baby?" I asked trying to mimic Summer in some way but my trademark smirk was a little out of place.
"Up" she said holding both arms outstretched in the air as I smiled swooping a arm under her legs and lifting her into the air
"Alright pup, shoes cloak and then we can go" I said kissing her cheek feeling her wiggle closer and rap her arms around my stomach, it wasn't much of a rap more of a grip since her arms couldn't reach all the way round. "Aren't we cuddly today?" I chuckled stroking her hair before carrying her over to the doorway and helped her strap her boots on and clip her cloak.
"Ready?" I asked as she nodded taking my hand and letting me lead her out of the house.

"Ruby!" I shouted worriedly not seeing the bombastic cheerful pup anywhere, she was right there! And now she's gone! What will Summer think! What if she was kidnapped... or worse

That's nice, now let's go find my stepdaughter, no matter how long it will take I'll go find her.
So after that little sanity reassurance I looked around for any signs of the girl, finding... none much to my annoyance, I then rescheduled the examination due to the fact I can't find Ruby anywhere. And then started to walk, just in the first direction that I had a "feeling" for. I mean I'm a fully fledged huntress, I've been working in the field for over ten years, and my job requires me to be a excellent tracker. But this was different, I wasn't Summer and use magic mind powers or sniff her out, I wasn't Ruby because I wouldn't be looking for her if I was, so I just had to make du with myself and my horrible senses.
-{ one hour later }-
"Ruby!"
"Come out, come out where ever you are~!"
-{ two hours later }-
"Cookies?! Is that what you whant cookies?! I'll give you all of them just come back!!"
-{ three hours later }-
"RUBY!"
"I know I'm not very nice but please!"
At this point your probably think one of three things, all of them a combination of, "have I lost my mind" and "this writer is insain" insain meaning off their Nevermore nest instead of what I would classify as insain. But to be quite honest I was so distraught about the fact it had been six hours since Ruby has gone missing, I'm surprised I haven't lost all sense of sanity and started praying to the moon for a safe return of my step daughter from lala land.
