Logan smiled as Roman laced their fingers together, and they walked through the trees near the park. It wasn't close to home, nor did they care. To be out and away from the house was better than either could imagine. The air was brisk, and left their cheeks a rosy pink, that only added fuel to the flame when it came to flirting, and teasing, claiming that they made the other blush, when in fact they knew they hadn't, it was just the cold wind blowing at them.

The leaves fell around them, creating a red, orange, and yellow blanket for them to walk along, whilst smiling when they found a particularly crunchy leaf, happy to step on it and hear the satisfying crunch beneath their feet.

Their breaths swirled up into the air, and collided, before drifting off elsewhere, happy to be free. Both would be entranced by the simple things, but it didn't matter, because it didn't happen often, and they were able to forget the weight of the world, and not worry about anything.

Roman stopped them as they reached a small opening in the trees, and Logan frowned. It was beautiful, but the beauty came from the death of almost all of the plants. They were all brown, yet it seemed to make the place look beautiful. The trees seemed to circle around the plants. Logan had been there in the summer when all the plants were in full bloom, and it was so welcoming the greens, reds, and pinks. And as autumn came, those colours left, but the beauty of it all never left.

"Roman?" Logan turned to his boyfriend, who smiled at him, a small, fond smile. One that was reserved for Logan. It wasn't ever anything much, but it was always shown when it was just the two of them. Logan wasn't upset about them stopping, he was more confused and curious, and at the moment, he didn't quite know why he wanted to kiss Roman. To have him in this opening, to share body heat, and warm up, not caring that people could easily find the space. He wanted to kiss him and not let go.

"I love you, you know that, right?" Roman murmured, pulling Logan closer to him.

Logan smiled and nodded, wrapping his arms around Roman's neck, smiling as he flushed. Logan couldn't tell whether he'd managed to make Roman flustered, or whether the cold wind was what made his cheeks pink.

"I love you too." Logan murmured, not wanting to let the moment end.

"May I?"

"Of course."

Roman leaned down and met Logan's lips. Logan hummed happily and held Roman closer, letting the cold melt away from around them, leaving them in their own little wonderland.

Logan let Roman end the kiss, yet he didn't let him leave their personal bubble. He smiled and pressed a quick kiss to Roman's nose, grinning as he scrunched it up in response.

"How is it legal for someone to be so handsome?" Logan spoke up, smiling as Roman's cheeks darkened, and he frowned slightly, trying to come up with some way to respond.

"It must be since you're here with me."

"How dare you turn this on me!" Logan grinned and pulled Roman back in for a kiss, not wanting their play fighting getting out of hand.

Roman's hands rested at the small of Logan's back, pulling him closer. Logan's hands were on Roman's shoulders, and their bodies were pressed against one another's, not wanting to separate.

When their kiss finally ended, Logan smiled fondly and refused to let go of Roman.

"So, not that I am complaining, but why are we here?"

"I had something I needed to ask you."

"Okay?" Logan smiled.

Roman got down on one knee and pulled out a box, not letting go of Logan's hand. It was kind of difficult given their constant need to be close, but they made it work.

"Logan, you've been my boyfriend for a long time and I couldn't ask for anyone better, but I think now is the time to take it further, I love you so much, and I would love for you to one day be my husband, so, would you do the honours of marrying me?"

Logan wasn't one for emotions or overreacting when it came to other people, but his boyfriend was different. He could be crazy and dramatic and overreact all he liked.

"Yes, please, I would love that!" He grinned, nodding his head like crazy, grinning and pulling Roman to his feet, pressing a kiss to his lips.

Roman smiled and attempted to kiss back, but it was hard to kiss whilst smiling like a madman.

Eventually, they parted and Roman slid the simple band onto Logan's left hand. The small clearing in the forest would be their's and they would go on to bring their children there whenever they had something happy to say because it was a place to go that amplified their happiness, and it was the place it all began.
