Alex's POV

"sorry for not surpassing your expectations." he said and he teared up, "sorry kasi nung sinabi saken na papupuntahin ako sa Japan naging sobrang saya ko eh."

I was just staring at the floor and analyzing ano bang nangyayare ngayon, ayoko naman isipin niya na nagiging sarado yung isip at puso ko.

"Did you love me? At least konti?" I asked, pero he wasn't answering, sobrang tahimik niya parin.

"'course, I did." maikli niyang sagot his eyes were red at nakatingin na lang siya saakin.

"yun naman pala, ba't nakakayanan mokong iwanan?" I asked, he was damn complicated to read, he was nodding yet tears kept coming thru his face.

"it doesn't mean na pag iniwan ka, hindi ka na mahal. You may be confused, pero you'll understand soon, siguro pag nakaalis nako." sagot niya at pilit na inabot saakin yung cookies na ginawa niya. Kinabig ko naman yung kamay niya kaya nahulog ang mga gawa niya. He just smiled and nodded "yep, I deserve that."

"I just thought you'd stay, whatever it may take from you." I calmly said

"then stop having thoughts like that, Alex. Hindi naman lahat nang tao kagaya nang naiisip mo." sagot niya saakin but it was calm yet bitter. "I'm leaving tomorrow, sana maging okay muna tayo before I go."

I laughed pero mapang asar, "you wish." sabi ko at lumabas na nang kwarto niya, he was being so full of himself, hindi man lang niya maisip yung ibang tao na nandito for him, stupid shit.

"oops, sorry." sabi nang nakabangga kong lalaki, he was somehow old but still not that old, may itsura siya and he seems like a business man. "you know, Trip? " he asked.

Tumango naman ako sakaniya at nakita niya yung namumugto kong mata, "yep, he's inside packing himself up."

He smiled at me "good, he must've been so happy that he's being with his Mom, she left him when he was 3." sabi niya. "oh by the way, Cameron Alferez."he then offered me a hand shake.

Seems familiar, inabot ko naman yung kamay niya for a hand shake. "uncle ka ni Trip? "I asked, he knew him so I might just ask who he is.

"no, just his dad's business partner, sakin siya lumaki eh, he had always wished to be with his mom." sabi niya then entered Trip's password. "nice to meet you miss? "

"Alex." sagot ko, then he nodded.

"nice to meet you Miss Alex. I have to go now." sabi niya then waved his hands at me, he seemed so familiar kaso di ko ma explain paano at saan?

Umakyat nako then locked the door,ayoko nang kausapin si Trip kahit na bukas na yung flight niya, the hell I care, it's too late.

Suddenly a knock on the door nung eksaktong pag buhos nang luha ko, nakaka badtrip, moment na yon tas bigla may kakatok.

"sino ba yan? "I asked sabay pinunasan yung luha ko, "basag trip naman." sabi ko at pumiyok pa. Binuksan ko yung pinto and Jax was standing there at basang basa nang ulan. It was raining cats and dogs at malamang wala siyang payong. "pasok."

"who made you cry this time?" pag kapasok na pagkapasok niya palang ay yun na ang bungad niya saakin, tinanggal niya yung suit niya na basang basa, kakagaling niya lang siguro sa work.

"akala ko birthday nang daddy mo." sabi ko sakaniya, pero hindi parin talaga ako makatingin nang diretso sa mata niya, it was like terrifying me kapag titingnan ko siya.

"nope, advance birthday celebration lang, he's leaving next month eh." sagot niya at pilit na hinahabol yung tingin ko "ba't ka naiyak? Tell me, what's wrong?" he asked.

Umiling ako, "it's nothing, breakdown lang. Stressed ako eh." I lied pero mas tinitigan niya ako sa mata which made me tear up at mas umiyak na ako sa harap niya.

"I know you're lying, Trip's leaving isn't he? " he asked.

"how'd you know? " pagbalik ko nang tanong sakaniya

"Trip's like my younger sibling, I grew up with him but not really, sa province lumaki yan si Trip with my Tito, his dad left him with us when he was young." sagot niya saakin and he seems comfortable telling stories to me, "his father had his new family so he decided to just give Trip away, separated yung mom and dad niya which is why we're all happy na he's finally meeting his mother again."

"by chance ba tito mo si Cameron Alferez? " I asked. Tumango naman siya saaki, hmm sobrang liit talaga nang mundo. "pero ba't ang sungit mo kay Trip? Tinawag mo pa ngang stranger."

"I don't know, baka gutom ako." sagot niya sa akin "it's been so long since I have met him again, malay ko ba kung mag iba yung ugali niya."

"he's kind." pag depensa ko kay Trip. "pero gago, tinago niya saakin yung petition niya."

"mas kind ako, Tito fixed his papers, taga pirma lang siya, what do you expect?" he said at nginitian ako pero hindi kita yung ngipin he just simply smiled at me.

"so I was wrong.... Pero sana nag kwento siya. Parang ginawa niya kong stupid, I thought he'd stay." sambit ko at lumuha, para nakong lasing na nagkwekwento sakaniya, "ba't ka ba nandito? Birthday celebration nang daddy mo tas nandito ka."

"it makes me sad that he'll be leaving for 2 years, it must be really hard for mom lalo na't we're expecting a baby." sambit niya "he could've denied the offer."

"malay mo he wants a better life for you, for his family." sabi ko sakaniya

"but this is the best life, I wouldn't even wish for more." sabi niya at umiling iling, "I just don't understand what he wanted to prove, we're good here, sobrang stable, sobrang comfortable na nang buhay namin dito."

"Jax, you should've been there sa party, for sure they're looking for you, dat hinayaan mo nako dito para nakapag isa na ko." I said.

"then it's much better that I'm here, I can't just go there have fun while you're here crying alone. "
