Dianne's POV
We where on to our second show of the day in Glasgow. Our show dance went so well and next up was our Charleston. We had done the first half of the routine and was on to the ladder part. Joe started to spin the ladder round and on the second time round I didn't duck quick enough and I felt it hit me full force in the head. Next thing I knew everything was black.
Joe's POV
Me and Dianne where on to our second dance of the show. We where doing our Charleston and it was going so well until we got to the ladder part. I was spinning the ladder round and on the second spin round I saw Dianne's head wack into the ladder. The next thing I knew she was on the floor not moving and she had blood coming out of her head. I started to panic throwing the ladder onto the floor and crouching down next to her. I started to say her name but she was out cold on the floor. I didn't know what to do and the next thing I notice is Dr Ranj running onto the stage over to us. The producers put the curtains down around the middle part of the stage which we where on so the audience couldn't see what was going on.
Ranj's POV
Me and some of the others where watching Joe and Dianne do their Charleston on the big screen backstage. I was just thinking how brilliant they are together when I saw Dianne's head hit into the ladder whilst Joe was spinning it around. Their was a gasp from back stage as everyone saw Dianne drop to the ground and then she didn't move. Next thing I know I'm running onto the stage to make sure she is alright. I repeated her name to see if I would get a respond but I didn't. I checked her pulse and that was normal and then two other medics came running onto the stage. I asked if they had a torch so I could check her eyes and lucky they where both find as well. I checked the cu on her head and noticed it was bleeding quite a bit so got a compress out of the bag holding it against her head.
Joe's POV
What was properly five minutes felt like an hour as we waited for Dianne to come round. As she started to come round I repeated over and over again 'oh my god, I'm so sorry Dianne, I didn't mean to do that, I love you.' I could see that she looked a bit dazed and her eyes where wandering around before she realised where she was.
Dianne's POV
I slowly opened my eyes wondering where is was. I had an absolute banging headache, my eyes where fuzzy when I opened them and I could fell someone holding something against my head. All I could hear was Joe saying sorry over and over again and telling me he loved me. Why was he saying sorry to me? As I took in my surroundings I realised I was laying on the floor at one of the venues with the curtains closed around us. To one side I had Joe and the other was Dr Ranj and two medics. As my head got clearer they slowly helped me into a sitting position I remembered what had happened. I groaned as I remembered, how embarrassing that's going to be all over the internet.
Joe took hold of one of my arms and Ranj the other and they slowly pulled me up so I was standing. Both of them keeping a hold of me we started to make out way backstage. As I came out of the curtains there was an almighty cheer and I couldn't help but smile. Once I was backstage I was put onto a chair and all of the cast from Strictly came running up to me asking if I was ok. I said I was okay and Joe came and sat next to me and I snuggled into his chest.
Ranj's POV
Me and Joe walked Dianne to the backstage area and everyone crowded around her to see if she was okay. I asked them to give her a little space. I took the compress of her head to see how the bleeding was going and noticed it had started to slow down. She then snuggled into Joe's chest and closed her eyes. 'Dianne you have to stay awake I think you might have a concussion you where out for a good five minutes. Joe you might want to take her to the hospital to get checked over and I think she is going to need stitches in her head.'
Joe's POV
I ordered an Uber for me and Dianne and we got in and made our way to the hospital. Once we where there we got signed in and shown to a room. When the doctor came he asked what happened and I explained we where with the Strictly tour and had had an accident during one of our routines. He checked her head and she had an CT scan to make sure nothing was wrong. We waited around for a few hours to get the results back and a nurse came in during that time putting five stitches in Dianne's head. The results came back saying everything was normal and they told us she just had concussion. They gave us leaflets and told us to come back if she got any of the symptoms.
We had made our way back to the hotel. Everyone had come to check on Dianne and make sure she was okay. Once they had seen she was alright they left us in peace. We got into bed her laying her head on my chest. 'That was an eventful day' I said. 'I'm so sorry baby.' 'I think it was my fault' she said. 'At least we will have something to tell out kids in the future, the time daddy knocked mummy out whilst dancing.' We both laughed and I placed a kiss on her lips. 'I love you so much baby.' 'I love you too' she said and we fell asleep cuddled up together.
