Joe and Dianne: Oneshots

Birthday party

Dianne's POV

Today we where having a party to celebrate Joe's birthday and the new series of Strictly starting. We where going to sit down and watch the launch show before partying into the early hours of the morning. Everything had been organised and Zoe and Alfie had come down to help me. We had decorated his living room and I had ordered a cake from his favourite bakery. We had invited Joe's family and friends and some of the cast from Strictly. I was really looking forward to this party as it would be the last time I could properly let my hair down before training for Strictly properly got started. I decided I wasn't going to get drunk I was just going to have a few drinks and have a great time. It got to later in the evening and I was now all dressed up ready for the party to get started. People had just started to turn up and I greeted them as they came in. Once most of the people where here we decided to have a little dance before the Strictly launch show started.

Joe's POV

The party was now down in full swing and most of the people where here. I had a few drinks and was currently on the dance floor shaking my stuff before the Strictly launch show started. I looked across the room and saw Dianne dancing with a few of the girls and decided that I was going to but in. I walked over to them and said 'Can I nick my girlfriend for a quick dance.' I reached out and took Dianne's hand and took her to the middle of the floor. We shook our stuff for a few songs before we realised the launch show was about to start. We went and took a seat next to each other on the sofa as the show started. We watched through the whole show and even though I already knew who everyone was partnered with and I really enjoyed it. Dianne seemed to have a brilliant partner and I really hope that she does as well if not better then she did last year. Once the show had finished we decided to have a few more drinks. I went off and chatted to some of my mates slowly getting a little bit tipsy the more I drank.

Dianne's POV

We watched the Strictly launch show and then we got back to the party. I grabbed another drink and went to have a talk with some of my mates. After a few more drinks I was back on the dance floor. One song came to an end and then I heard the beginning of rainbow connection start to play. I looked around the room to see Joe walking towards me. I gave him a gently smile as he gathered me in his arms and we started to slow dance to the song. This song would always have a special meaning to the both of us as the week we danced to this song was the week me and Joe admitted that we had feeling for each other. As the song came to an end I felt Joe pull away from me before I felt a very passionate kiss being placed on my lips. I don't know how long the kiss lasted for but it felt like forever even though it was probably only a few seconds. As we both pulled away I looked around us to see a few people looking at us. I took Joe's hand and pulled him to the side of the room. 'I thought you didn't want people seeing us kissing' I said. 'I've decided I don't care anymore. I am head over heels in love with you and I couldn't care less who knows or sees it. I smiled at him before he leaned in placing another kiss on my lips. We continued kissing until we where disrupted by Zoe coming up to us. 'Sorry to disturb guys, but we where going to do the cake now.' I looked up at her and smiled before making my way into the kitchen to get the cake ready. As I was leaving I heard Zoe say to Joe 'I'm so glad you found her, she is definitely the one for you Joe.'
