Joe and Dianne: Oneshots

Still dancing

Dianne's POV

I was mid way through the first week of training for the Strictly Professional Tour. I had just left the studio and was on my way round to Joe's. When I got to Joe's I knocked on the door and he answered it straight away engulfing me in a massive hug. When he pulled away he placed a kiss on my lips and then took my hand as we walked into the living room. He sat down on the sofa pulling me on top of him as he asked me how my day had been. I explained all the dances we had done today and what we had practiced. Once I had finished he said 'I really miss dancing with you all day, I wish we could do it again.' 'I miss dancing with you too' I replied. We sat in silence for a few minutes cuddled up together just enjoying each other's company. After a while Joe pulled away from me and went to start dinner.

We had finished dinner and where cuddled up in bed watching a film. I wasn't concentrating on the film as I was thinking about what Joe was saying early. As I was thinking about it a plan started to formulate in my brain. I knew we where both off next weekend and neither of us had plans so I was going to look into booking out a studio for the day so me and Joe could do a day of dance again. I knew he would love it and I knew I would as well.

Next day

I was on a break from training and decided now would be a brilliant time to have a look for a free studio for me and Joe for next weekend. I decided the first studio I was going to try was the one me and Joe trained in most of the time. I thought it would be nice to go back and dance in the studio that held so many happy memories for me and Joe. I went outside and called them and was so happy when they told me the studio was free next Saturday. I booked it and paid the deposit and decided that I was going to keep it a secret from Joe as a surprise.

Saturday
Joe's POV

Today me and Dianne both had the day off. I had no idea what we where doing but Dianne had told me the other week that she had planned a surprise for today. I got up and dressed and me and Dianne sat down and had breakfast together. We then made out way outside and got into an Uber that Dianne had ordered. Fifteen minutes later we pulled up outside of the studio that we use to train in. I turned to look at Dianne and said 'what are we doing here.' 'Well I know you where saying how much you where missing dancing, so I decided to book out the studio today so we could do a day of dance' she said. I massive smile spread across my face 'that's a brilliant idea' I said as I got out the car. She walked around to me and we walked hand in hand into the studio, both of us with massive smiles on our face.

We where mid way through the day and we had decided to stop and get some lunch. I was having such a brilliant time, it bought back so many memories dancing in this studio with Dianne. It was just as much fun as it always was and we kept rolling around the floor in laughter when I tried to do a new move that I couldn't quite pick up. I'm so glad that Dianne decided to do this today.

Dianne's POV

This was such a brilliant idea. Me and Joe where both having a ball and learning a new dance reminded me so much of our time on Strictly. It was just as much fun but without the stress of having to perform in front of a live audience at the end of the week. I had been teaching Joe how to do the tango as that was one of the dances we hadn't got to do whilst on Strictly and I always thought he would be really good at it. My assumptions where right and Joe was picking up the steps and routine really quickly but most of all we where just having a brilliant time. It was getting late into the evening and I decided at seven that we should call it a day, we had been dancing for ten hours. Me and Joe sat on the floor taking off our dance shoes and Joe turned to me and said 'promise me that once every other month we will book a studio out and do a day of dance.' I smiled at him and said 'I promise.'
