Joe and Dianne: Oneshots

Back together

Joe's POV

Today Dianne was coming back from the Strictly Cruise and I couldn't wait for her to get back. She had been on the cruise for ten days and it felt like forever since I had last seen her. We had only ever spent that amount of time apart over christmas when she had been in Australia and I had missed her so much then and now. She had just text me to say would be about ten minutes. I got up off the sofa and started pacing back and forth waiting for her. Ten minutes went and gone and she still wasn't here. I continues pacing for another five minutes before I heard the sound of a key in the lock. I stopped in the hallway where I was and turned so I was facing the door. The minute she walked in I ran over to her taking her suitcase off her and placed it on the floor. I then wrapped my arms around her. I felt her wrap her arms around me as well and snuggle her head into my neck. 'I missed you so much' I said whilst placing a kiss on her hair. 'I missed you too' she replied as I pulled back placing a kiss on her lips. I pulled completely away from her taking her hand and leading her to the sofa. I sat down on the sofa tugging her down so she was sitting on my lap. We snuggled up on the sofa for a while just enjoying being back in each other's arms, no words needed to be said between us.

Dianne's POV

I loved the Strictly Cruise but I missed Joe so much. It feels so weird spending all this time apart from Joe but just proves to me how strong out love is. That no matter how many miles between us we are still head over heels in love with each other. Today was the day I got to go back to Joe. The cruise had ended and I was just waiting for my Uber back to his apartment. A little while later I tested Joe to say I was ten minutes away. I couldn't wait to be back in his arms. It took a bit longer to get back then I thought. I could feel the excitement bubbling in my chest as I took the lift up to the apartment. When I got to the front door I rooted round in my bag to find the keys bodies opening the door. The first thing I saw when I opened the door was Joe standing there. I saw a massive smile come over his face as he made his way over to me taking my bag and placing it on the floor before wrapping his arms around me. It felt so good to be back in his arms. We stayed wrapped in each other's arms for a few moments before Joe pulled back placing a kiss on my lips. He then led us over to the sofa sitting down and pulling me onto his lap. 'I love you so much, let's never spend this amount of time apart again' I said. 'I love you too' he replied. We stay snuggled up together for the rest of the day talking about the cruise and what he had been up to. We made plans for the next couple of weeks both of us looking forward some quality time together.
