Joe's POV

My birthday party had been as absolute hit and everyone was having a great time. It got to that point in the evening where it was time for everyone to sing happy birthday to me. We gathered in the kitchen area and I had a quick twirl with Kevin before I looked in the direction of the cake. I could see Dianne lighting the candles and as I stood their looking at her I couldn't believe how lucky I was. This time last year I could never imagine that I would now have a girlfriend who I lived with and I was head over heels in love with. But as I stood here looking at her I couldn't help that thank whoever sent her to me. I could feel my head tilt to the side as I looked at her and could feel the massive smile across my face. I was so extremely happy in my life at the moment. I was bought out of my day dream as everyone started to sing happy birthday to me. I did a funny little walk as I made my way over to the cake. In a split second I decided to bypass the cake and go past it over to Dianne. When I got to her I couldn't help myself and I lent forward placing a peck on her lips. I felt her respond straight away and I wrapped my arms around her as I felt the kiss get more passionate. It was only suppose to be a quick peck but I got lost in myself and Dianne and forgot about all the other people in the room. I broke apart from the kiss to take in some air before my lips where back on hers. I have no idea how long we stood their kissing for but I started to come back to reality when I heard wolf whistles coming from around us. I slowly pulled away from Dianne and looked around us to see everyone staring at us. I could feel my face going slightly red before I said 'who can blame me, have you seen her she is absolutely gorgeous and she is all mine.' I gave her another kiss, this time a quick peck on the lips before I made my way back to the cake to blow out the candles. At that moment the only thing I wished for was for nothing to change in my life.
