During the SCD tour

Joe's POV

Today was a weird day. We had finished the tour for the day and we had won but Dianne was being extremely quiet today and not at all like her normal self. I asked her what was wrong but she said she was fine. When I tried to give her a kiss or a cuddle she would move away from me and we had hardly spent any time together today except when we where dancing. I was really started to worry about what was going on. I hope she hadn't gone off me.

We had just finished taking off the makeup we where wearing and had changed back into our normal clothes. I went to find Dianne to go back to our room. I went and waited outside of the girls changing room and when she hadn't come out half an hour later I wondered what she was doing. I gently knocked on the door and Stacey came to the door. I asked her if Dianne was nearly ready to go and she told me that Dianne had already left. I found that extremely weird as me and Dianne always went back together. I decided to go back to our room and try and find out what was going on with her. When I got back Dianne was no where to be seen. This day was just getting weirder and weirder where could she be. I tried ringing her phone but I got no answer. I tried ringing another three times and finally on the last try she answered. I asked her where she was and she said she needed a bit of time alone but she would be back soon and then hung up her phone. She was really starting to worry me now what did she have to think about.

I knew that Dianne had got very close to Stacey during the whole strictly experience, as had I, so i decided to ring her to see if she could help me with Dianne. Stacey answered after a couple of rings and I told her what was going on and that Dianne had been acting weirdly all day and she wouldn't tell me what was wrong. She said she would speak to her and see if she could get to the root of the problem. I thanked her then we hung up.

Stacey's POV

I was relaxing in my hotel room after a hard day of dancing on the tour when I got a phone call from Joe. He told me he was worried about Dianne as she had been acting weirdly all day and now she had decided that she needs some space. Me and Dianne had become good friends during the Strictly experience so he was wondering if I could speak to her. I told him I would try and then we both hung up our phones. I laid on the bed for a couple minutes thinking about Dianne. I had noticed earlier that she had been acting weird. She had been extremely quiet, she was not telling her jokes like normal and she didn't want to spend time with anyone that day even Joe. I decided I would ring her and see if she wanted to meet up so I could get to the root of the problem.

I rang Dianne and she answered straight away. I asked her if she fancied going to the bar and getting a few drinks and she said yes straight away. I told her I would meet her there in ten minutes. I walked into the bar and saw Dianne sitting there a drink already in her hand and another empty one beside her. I walked up to her gave her a hug, ordered myself a drink and once it came we made our way over to a booth. Once we where sat down I asked her how long she had been there and she told me about 40 minutes. I asked her what was going on with her today and she said nothing as she downed the rest of her drink. She said she was just going to the bar to get another one. She came back a couple minutes later with two more drinks in her hand. I asked her how many she had had and she told me that was her fourth one. I told her to slow down and to tell me what was going on. She turned and looked at me with tears in her eyes.

Before I could say anything else to her she burst into tears. I gathered her in my arms giving her a hug. This had me worried. 'Di what's wrong' I asked. She sniffed a few times but didn't answer me. When I was sure she had stopped crying I gently moved her head off my shoulder and looked her in the eyes. That's when she told me what was wrong. She said she had seen all the articles about her and Joe in the tabloids and she knew that they where getting on everyone's nerves. She started sniffing and said 'I don't want everyone to hate us, I thought it would be easier if we stayed away from each other for a while.' I looked at her with sad eyes and knew she wasn't use to being in front of the press so this must be hard for her. I had read it as well but as far as I was aware no one on the tour had a bad word to say about the pair. Everyone was saying it was nice that they had both found each other. I told her no one hated her and that she should go back to her room with Joe but she said she didn't want to yet. I told her she needed to stop drinking as we had a show tomorrow so I took her up to my room and as soon as her head hit the pillow she was asleep.
