Joe and Dianne: Oneshots

Valentine's Day

Dianne's POV

I woke up to gently kisses being placed on my face and neck. I slowly opened my eyes turning my head to the side to see Joe placing the kisses. I smiled as I looked up at him. 'Morning baby, happy Valentine's Day' Joe said. 'Happy Valentine's Day' I said placing a gently kiss on his lips snuggling back into his arms. We laid there for ten minutes waking up before Joe said 'I have a surprise for you.' I sat up in bed jumping on my bum on the bed. 'What is it, what is it' I said. He started to giggle at me. 'Your have to wait and see' he said getting out of bed. I got out of bed as well and he picked something up from the floor. 'What is that' I asked. He bought his hands up so I could see the blindfold in his hand. 'You have to put this on before we go downstairs' he asked. I started giggling again and he came up behind me placing the blindfold on me. He then took my hand and slowly started walking me out the door to the stairs. Once we got to the stairs he took both of my hands in his and guided me down them.

We got to the bottom of the stairs and Joe removed the blindfold. 'Surprise' he said. I gasped as I looked around. There was a beautiful bunch of roses in the middle of the room with a card next to them and a little box. He had also set the table up with candles and had made heart shaped pancakes which where in a stack on the table with different toppings in bowls around them. I walked over to where the flowers where and bend down and smelt them. 'They are lovely' I said to Joe reaching down for the box next to them. I opened the box to see a beautiful heart shaped necklace with J&D engraved on the back of it. My eyes started to get watery and I turned to Joe, who was standing behind me and said 'it's beautiful, thanks baby.' He smiled back at me and said 'not as beautiful as you, I love you.' I wrapped my arms around him and placed a kiss on his lips. 'I love you too' I said. I took the necklace out of the box and handed it to him and he placed it around my neck. I went over to the mirror and looked in it 'I love it' I said. He walked over to me and took my hand leading me over to the breakfast table. We both sat down and I reached forward to pick up the coffee he had made. He started placing pancakes on mine and his plates and then handed the plate over to me. 'Thanks babe' I said. I poured some syrup onto the pancakes and then topped them with fruit. 'Umm yummy' I mumbled as I ate my pancakes.

Once we had finished he picked up the plates and bowls and placed them in the dishwasher. 'We can do whatever you want today babe, i have no plans. 'Let's just relax and watch films' I said. Joe went and collected pillows and blankets placing them onto the sofa. We both sat down snuggling up together me placing my head on his chest. He placed the blanket over us and we found a film to watch on Netflix. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and spending time together eating snacks and ordering pizza. It got to the evening and we had just finished watching our fourth film. I could feel my eyes starting to close. As I was falling asleep I felt Joe move my hair to the side. He moved his mouth down and whispered in my ear 'I love you so much, I can't believe how lucky I am to have met you, I want to spend the rest of my life with you.' He placed a gently kiss on my forehead and I fell into a deep sleep with a smile on my face.
